We had FC tank do a bit race hopping, and his opinion was that the low camera angle on lala makes it extremely harder than on some taller race. So more power to you if you master the lala tanking ^^

Actually, you can adjust your camera height in Settings. Putting the camera height to 50 gives you the same angle you get with Hyur PCs. That helps quite a bit!

To stay on topic, on my first time Healing in a dungeon, I only attacked about 5 times in the entire dungeon. Because it was low-level, there wasn't even much healing to do; I spent most of the dungeon literally doing nothing waiting for my party's HP to fall so I could heal them. I THOUGHT at the time that I was keeping myself ready to heal at any time, but in retrospect I wasn't pulling my weight at all... AND I took one of the pieces of loot.

It's fine when you're just learning to heal to play cautiously. I don't think anyone will criticize you for that; as long as you did your job, they've no reason to complain. Once you're more comfortable with it, you can start stance dancing with Cleric. You can't expect the confidence and knowledge of enemy damage right from the start.

When I can't Stance Dance, I personally get either:
1. Bored out of my mind when I just sit there and cure when I could be doing other things.
2. Extremely frustrated, because the tank is taking way too much damage and not using CDs, so I'm basically spamming on him constantly just to keep him alive.

It'll probably be the same for you, eventually. So don't push it.

When we form up clear/teaching parties for some FC members that want to touch the end game content, I usually let them die to mechanics they got wrong even if they can be healed. Just so they can learn that some spots aren't safe.
