I tend to keep my tank regularly nearly topped up, in about 80% most of the time and still DPS a fair deal. Reason I don't keep them totally full is that various tank self heals that at least my usual tank uses regularly would go to waste. Why I keep them that high though, if I heal the same amount anyway it doesn't much matter in which order I do it. CS change when properly weaved between spells is instant so variating between heals and damage spells seem to be, at least to me, just as effective as chaining one type and then other.
If you say 'pls' because it's shorter than 'please', I say 'no' because it's shorter than 'yes'.
Since seven days ago (When I decided to devote 100% of my time into clearing, 'The lost city', until I've acquired a pair of Darklight Gloves of Healing [I still haven't acquired a pair]).I've noticed a drastic change to my healing style. I get annoyed if the tank doesn't pull the entire floor (until we're blocked by the dungeons mechanics; for not killing the mobs yet). I apply Divine seal->Regen->Medica II, then cleric stance->Presence of Mind->Holy spam. Then when I reach 100mp (no more holy's) I flip cleric stance-> Apply saints shroud + Hi elixir->Apply regen on Tank+1 cure 1. Then manually apply Stone II on any mob still standing.
I ignore my own HP and the HP of the two DD classes (until we're slightly under 40% hp, then I might apply a bandage {regen} if the tank hasn't drawn agro). I let peoples HP self medicate in-between each trash mob group (less mp usage). And I get highly annoyed at tanks who don't pull all trash mobs into one large train (until we're blocked by a gate). I'm very liberal with Benediction. And... I've cleared this dungeon 150+ times in seven days... So I'm extremely confident with this dungeon..
I could see problems if I applied this mentality to lower level dungeons (tanks might verbally insult me for being to aggressive).

I admit to forgetting I have the tank still selected in the party list, stacking for splitting heavy damage and then spamming Cure III.... and wondering why nothing's happening... leaving the SCH or Noct AST co-healer to clean up after my derp. :| lolDragonsRagelol |||OTL
I also confess to opinionatedly yelling at my screen every time I see a lvl 60 (they should know better) WHM or Diurnal AST pre-cast Medica II/Aspected Helios.... apparently just because I casted Noct aspected Helios while on AST. o_O "Dude why would you do that...? This is Noct! >.< ....are you trying to compete with my shields, or something...? =_= ...... =_______= ..... +____________+" ....and then I get slightly competitive with the heals/raises/etc >.>;;;
Only deflation of that is if the other healer seems nice and pulls their weight >.> Then that kinda goes away...
(but seriously, I see this a lot lately - it's like they see me pre-shield before a pull and think it's okay to pre-cast a party regen, too... two different things, when I'm in Noct x.x... OTL).
I can understand a lower level WHM or newer AST not knowing - but when you've hit 60, you should know better by now...
I also yowl if I DF a trial/raid with another AST who switches from Diurnal to Noct, after I've already been in Noct since load and it's already post pre-buffs. >.> Mine! You can't have it!
OTL

This is something the training hall should mention on the healing class. The dmg class talks about aggro pointing out you should hit the tanks target. Healing class should tell the monster get aggro for regen effects you have put on things. Didn't get to tank courses yet, wonder if they mention healers tend to get aggro just by healing.
I was running vault on my DRK and got healer cast Medica II on the start. I politely asked "please don't cast regen effects befire pull" his answer "I know, but it's fun." *shrug* fine, he knows, first pull went ok after I had waited out the regen. On second pull he managed to sneak a regen in in the middle of the pull getting one mob to him I hadn't had time to encage yet. After tanking and killing everything else not touching to the mob even if I well see it he says to chat "archer" to which I told "I know, pulled by your early regen." And left it at that. He didn't pre regen again on the run.
If you say 'pls' because it's shorter than 'please', I say 'no' because it's shorter than 'yes'.
This could be tricky to implement simply because it level syncs you to 15 for the training exercises. WHM doesn't get any HOTs until way later than that and SCH only gets one with Eos out. (Side note healer confession, I still haven't unlocked AST so I couldn't say how their skill tree is structured by level.)
It would be a good one if they added higher level sync courses for intermediate/advanced concepts at some point though.
Neither stance is available when sync'd to 15-29 (Diurnal = 30, Noct = 50), so they won't have regen/diurnal aspected heals in that situation, either x.x
Considering they have two healers with a regen that have this problem, they should at least mention it in the training thinger (I haven't looked at it, yet, to know how it's set up, truthfully) with an example.... considering it can cause huge problems, depending on the group - whether it just be aggro pulling probs or socially if that new person ends up with an arse of a party. When I first started out, way back, I had no idea that heals generated enmity, or what enmity was, so I would pre-regen - and I can't be the only one that had no prior experience with enmity. x.x It's something worth telling new players, in my opinion, so that they understand not just regen pulling, but that heal spamming (whether it be an overly concerned healer or healing through large damage) generates enmity, on top of that (How many times have I pulled Titan, healing tank+people not getting out of WotL >.>). x_x
Just...... knowing the class's inner workings, more than just, "hit this button to healz". (But again, I haven't touched the training grounds, other than S,S & S, to knowhow exactly they have it set up,but doesn't sound like they talk about healer enmity...)

Confession: I was playing dress up before farming Lost City hard and equipped the actual piece I use for glamours instead of my 210. We somehow lived just fine up until a big pull around the butterflies despite the fact that the chest piece in question was a lvl 1 with no stats and that I was wearing lvl 50 gloves. XD. I owned up to it and all was well but I'm not regularly checking my gear to make sure its all correct out of paranoia.

I secretly hope that my pug groups are bad so that I can carry them and get a bunch of comms.
Having second courses somewhere around 35 would be awesome. At that point most roles have got good chunk more to their toolkit. And yeah, I know it would be hard to implement into the actual course on the beginner level, but it could at least be mentioned in their teaching dialog. Some people notice it, some don't, but for those who actually read what is said in the courses, they would have at least heard it somewhere.
