was in the Vault at the mid boss and was so focused on keeping everyone alive I forgot to heal myself.
the MCH was able to get the boss down, but they went down at the same time, and due to post-death taunting from the boss it reset.
sad panda.

I haven't stumbled I to any like that. If anything, on occasion Lala tanks are hard to spot on the battlefield if they are surrounded by mob pack, but that only makes placing heal bubbles a bit more challenging. One point about lala tanking though. We had FC tank do a bit race hopping, and his opinion was that the low camera angle on lala makes it extremely harder than on some taller race. So more power to you if you master the lala tanking ^^

If you say 'pls' because it's shorter than 'please', I say 'no' because it's shorter than 'yes'.
Actually, you can adjust your camera height in Settings. Putting the camera height to 50 gives you the same angle you get with Hyur PCs. That helps quite a bit!
To stay on topic, on my first time Healing in a dungeon, I only attacked about 5 times in the entire dungeon. Because it was low-level, there wasn't even much healing to do; I spent most of the dungeon literally doing nothing waiting for my party's HP to fall so I could heal them. I THOUGHT at the time that I was keeping myself ready to heal at any time, but in retrospect I wasn't pulling my weight at all... AND I took one of the pieces of loot.
It's fine when you're just learning to heal to play cautiously. I don't think anyone will criticize you for that; as long as you did your job, they've no reason to complain. Once you're more comfortable with it, you can start stance dancing with Cleric. You can't expect the confidence and knowledge of enemy damage right from the start. To stay on topic, on my first time Healing in a dungeon, I only attacked about 5 times in the entire dungeon. When I can't Stance Dance, I personally get either:
1. Bored out of my mind when I just sit there and cure when I could be doing other things.
2. Extremely frustrated, because the tank is taking way too much damage and not using CDs, so I'm basically spamming on him constantly just to keep him alive.
It'll probably be the same for you, eventually. So don't push it.

When we form up clear/teaching parties for some FC members that want to touch the end game content, I usually let them die to mechanics they got wrong even if they can be healed. Just so they can learn that some spots aren't safe.
I didn't know thatNor does him I think. I miiight not be telling him any time soon though, I much like his cat looks ^^ .

LOL! I did this on my first Pharos Sririus HM too! I thought, "Hmm, I like being helpful and showing I know mechanics on my first run though, so I'll just cast a Malefic II at this approaching Remedy Bomb.." *casting* *casting*.. *bomb walks past* CANCEL CAST! ABORT, ABORT!.. stars fall, bombs fly into bombs, queue big explosion and panicked Helios spam. And everything was going perfectly up until then. Luckily no one died so nothing hit the fan. I even got a couple of commendations I little deserved xD
You can't kick in the middle of a battle. You can let them die though, and kick afterward. Assuming your tank isn't already running ahead like his pants were on fire.See I call complete BS here.
If the reason is to make your life easier you would kick them.
Letting someone die isn't making anything easier on you lol, it means less damage going out, boss lives for longer and therefore you do even more healing....Not seeing this easier life thing you speak of...
(edit) And... in case you were confused about it all, you also can't let someone die while you're out of combat (since nothing will be hitting them). Kicking would be the proper course in this case.

Oooh, shiney...
I am blissfully happy that tanks will now have to go back to wearing actual tank gear, and I can reasonably expect not to have to deal with tanks with barely more HP than I have (Or even less, oh the horror) complaining when I can't heal them through something that one-shots them because they thought they could push their DPS just a little harder, and damn survivability.
I am aware I'm being a bit selfish, but I think overall the change will be a net positive, since I'll be able to contribute more DPS now that I won't have to be healing under-geared tanks quite so desperately.
If a tank is not using a single cooldown through the entirety of a dungeon run, I heal starve them until they begin to pop them out of reflex.
Of course, I'll politely ask first, but if they soundly reject me or tell me to heal anyway, or that they "need to save it for the boss," you aren't getting healed. Sorry, I need to conserve all my MP for the boss, too, then.
