Why are low standards for dps acceptable?

When the tank screws up and a DPS dies from it the party kicks the DPS.

Literally never seen or heard of this happening so I'm not sure where you're getting that.

Indeed, but it's still acceptable most of the time anyway. I think most players just don't care, including me, even if for different reasons. I don't even remember the last time someone was called out for bad play in DF.

Also, just being able to maintain aggro as a tank and keep the tank alive as a healer is not exactly high standards IMO.

You must be very lucky, as it happens every other run for me. People so bad that we literally have to say something or kick them...some people astound me.

And while your last statement is true, my point still stands (I'd also be pretty mad if the healer was only healing the tank...)

Sorry all I see in you right now is an elitist who thinks everyone should automatically know things about the game based on some innate knowledge and research everything about the game whenever new patches are released.

The fact that you get new skills when you level up doesn't exactly require in-depth research.

Nah, happens to me all the time too, usually I'm healing so I can carry them or just leave, it may be wrong to carry, but as I said, it's not worth to stress about it. They have a wall of excuses protecting them.

In my opinion if you want to tell a dps to do something you should be nice about it.

Though if you were nice to them and they told you to shut up I wouldn't blame you being annoyed.

But yeah, people have different standards when it comes to gameplay. Some will just wing it, and some will take the effort to try to understand all their skills and which situations they're practical in and how to combo them.

But it's not like they're in endgame content. (Yes it's level 60 but it's not like they're going into Alexander Savage with that level of understanding of their class.)

I don't remember asking the tank to tell me to shut up, I did not direct that quote towards the blackmage, I do not react hostility by apologizing, especially when I was not even in the wrong or being hostile to the blackmage (aside from the bot comment, which could easily be determined as hostile and I would accept that I was hostile)

The blackmage comment was a direct attack on that persons credibility, albeit in a hostile manner. By saying that he did not have blackmage to 60 and that I did, I was saying that I was more likely to have experience with the class and know its inner workings and basic rotation
