Yoshi P's Stance on Pld

If I remenber correctly it was roughly the same. Lots of WARs started asking for fixes when they started being excluded, a few legacy PLDs responded with almost an identical thing to current WARs - it was about time PLD got some action after two years of never being used for anything in 1.x

(The 1.x scenario was much worse. PLD was only used in 1 fight for all of 1.x - ifrit extreme. It was basically a class to stand in town on. 1.x had other such balance gems as WARx2 BLMx5 WHM and WAR WHM MNKx6 in its endgame - same director, same team.)

Salt levels were largely the same as well, it started with good natured attempts at discussing ways to change class balance for the better but was met with backlash and Yoshi saying it wasn't a problem. Then salt levels rose at the same time as people started getting on side, which was and is odd. I really don't think that time or this time were/are particularly salty though.

Most importantly: Persistence paid off.
