Unlike leaving a party, vote kick has a cooldown.

I think 30 minute penalty is much worse cooldown, it locks you out of dungeon content. Votekick has 4 hour cooldown, but it's not used often by a single person, let alone the wholeparty. You'll only have problems with that cooldown if your whole party is going to kick multiple people in a few hours which is very unlikely scenario.

More likely than you'd think if we had obliged everyone who asks for a vote kick in the first place, especially if we were utilizing Df a lot.

And the point remains is that you still want to bail out of a dungeon queue commitment and dodge a penalty that would otherwise discourage it

If you are looking at the consequences you should consider casues too. For ex., if you are a healer and during the boss fight constantly die and cause wipes, and a person wants to leave a party and reque in hopes of a better healer, you should not deny him his request to be votekicked because it was your fault. He has NO obligations, non-written or otherwise, to stay with you any longer or take 30 minute penaly because you can't do your job properly.

And then later we get threads like this where, somehow, people WANT to be kicked just to run off and play with their static or go chasing an S rank hunt. This is probably the only game I ever played where people want the boot.

No I didn't bother to read it all because I don't really care if someone wants to be kicked and doesn't want the penalty. It's their life and if they don't want that particular dungeon then I'd gladly let them carry on with said life without making a fuss. I don't understand why you care so much when there are real issues in the world that are far more devastating to the human race than your need to control what others can and can't do.

What I do find more interesting is that you report people in this thread for harassment who disagree with you. What doesn't constitute harassment to you? If everyone agrees and does everything your way? Maybe you can make a thread of your dos and don'ts so we can know ahead of time if you approve.

Then you have no right to speak of anything if you couldn't be bothered to read the arguments that both sides presented while making up stories about people "reporting" others for having a different opinion. But then again I probably fell for yet another bait.

Would ppl stop asking to be kicked if they get reported and SE gave out a short ban of 2-3 days for this behavior?

It's not made up. People were put on 72 hour suspension from forum because of this thread.
