Agreed with pretty much all this. Both sides bring up decent points, but one side is coming off kinda self-righteous right now.
Also, the amount of people saying "I know innocents may unfortunately be affected by this, BUT..." is pretty sickening. I might understand if there was literally no other good option other than adding a timer penalty onto being kicked, but there have been far better ones (I do like the one that locks you into the same dungeon per roulette). I know this is confirmation bias so obviously grain of salt, but: playing since 1.0, tanking since 2.0, leveling/hard/ex roulette erry day - NEVER seen anyone ask to be kicked. However, seen people get dced at least a couple times a week. Most come back in a few minutes, some don't. I am not okay with having them finally manage to come back with a warm greeting of a penalty, and yes I am willing to assume that they are all legit dc.
