Except it doesn't prevent you from raiding on your dps job -___-
Both your tank and dps jobs don't need to be full i200+ to raid.
Whats the point in leveling other crafts or jobs when you can't gear anything up because they're all locked behind time-gates.
It's an MMORPG. Maybe you're playing the wrong genre of game.
You have way too much free time buddy... You are free to make the 2nd toon and farm all Eso all you want. Not everyone have as much free time as you to make 2nd toon but I am sure you would have no problem with that.

Then don't make a second toon or level another class why are you people agianst anyone else doing so? Btw I have a life and plenty of friends not that it should matter lol.
The reason is because SE said so. Whether or not you think that's a good reason is irrelevant. Seriously, why do you need to be able to equip all of your jobs in the best gear right out of the gate outside of just wanting the option? Even if you play multiple classes it's highly unlikely you play them all equally enough to the point that you need them all to be raid-ready. If you trickle down your equipment/currency properly you'll always have at least two classes geared enough to attempt new content anyway.
With this character's death, the thread of prophecy remains intact.
Given that the fights in Alex Savage (which are the only things you'd need i200+ gear for) need two tanks, two healers, and four DPS, the need for specific composition would prevent you raiding as a dps on another character.
You seem to think it's actually difficult to hit cap now. Doing one ex roulette per day, you will hit cap with time to spare. So nice try. If you're going to be rude, don't be ignorant.
A casual player who plays only about an hour/day has time to cap with time to spare, and therefore time to get even a few more than 450 esos if this suggestion were to be implemented. "Get a life" is a completely irrelevant piece of "advice" as a result. Unless you think people who play an hour a day need to get a life too.

Except the whole game is built and marketed around doing everything on one character.
Exactly you know what amazes me the most about the dissenters they have no real arguement against what the op suggests. Letting players have tomes and lockouts per job/class would not cause thier prefered playstyle to disappear yet they will fight against any change you suggest anyways.
So long as it's done in a way that you can't gear up one class faster than someone leveling just one class thier shouldn't be any reason not to allow it.
