Just because lots of people tolerate something doesn't make it good.
Good. If you play more you should have advantages over people who play less. Once upon a time this used to be the basic principle of MMOs.
If they made it so that all roulettes/dungeons/etc only gave 1 esoteric tome but there was no cap it would be a better system than what we have now. Lockouts only serve to artificially extend content and protect casual players from being outplayed.
You guys do realize that you could buy the majority of all accessories you need, the first week, if this system was in place...
They could separate all accessories by job, like with left side armor, but... well, that would cause some hate in the community, and how would they make that for tanks who wants to have both vit and str? make 2 versions of them?
All in all, there are a ton of more problems than a lot of you realize, and you can't just get everything right away.
This is an MMO, try to socialize, craft, level more jobs... whatever. I don't don't play that much at the moment either, but I don't whine about it, and even if I would whine about it, I wouldn't want to do even more dungeons than I'm doing right now.
I see people saying there are players that have already left since the expansion, well... that happens every big patch/expansion, it's just a ton of players that try out/come back to the game and then get disappointed again however good the game is. The "real" players, the ones you want in your FC, stay through rough times, and either do what I said earlier, or they just accept that they don't have to play a ton of hours every day, or not play some days at all.
Used to be. There's a reason why archaic mmo concepts like this and monster grinds die out in the gaming industry. And you also need to look at the other end; you don't want it to be accessible or easily farmible (people can fully eso gear up within the week), the game would have literally almost no lifespan beyond that.Good. If you play more you should have advantages over people who play less. Once upon a time this used to be the basic principle of MMOs.

There's also the issue of inventory space when we're looking at things like.... two rings exclusive to each job, the amount of extra data needed to have job exclusive gear at each tome tier (which would actually make it harder to gear up healers and tanks to be interchangeable). I know this is stretching it when it comes to data space, but considering the amount of excuses we have regarding our limited inventory space and armorie storage...

If they don't put a cap on tomestones then some people would grind out all the gear that they wanted in a matter of days and then complain about there being a lack of anything to do because they're already geared until the next major patch adds new dungeons, raids & gear.
While it is an artificial addition to this patch's life, do any of you really want to see daily new threads of "THERE'S NOTHING TO DO BECAUSE I GOT ALL THE GEAR I NEEDED IN A COUPLE OF DAYS"? Be honest, you don't.
I LIKE the fence. I get 2 groups to laugh at then.
And if you had read the OP you would know that the suggestion was to give each class a 450 tome cap thus even IF someone would grind 4.5k+ tomes every week it would still take 10 weeks to get all their classes geared. If they don't put a cap on tomestones then some people would grind out all the gear that they wanted in a matter of days and then complain about there being a lack of anything to do because they're already geared until the next major patch adds new dungeons, raids & gear.

Yea and in 10 weeks they be back on here saying they have nothing to do. Or they say the cap needs an increase the fact is ppl will never be happy
they are done in 14 weeks if u take tanks as example with 1 slaying ring, if they aiming for more slaying parts then its 16 weeks.
16 weeks is fair enough to release new patches.
to be honest 13 Classes to Gear out means u Need to earn 5850 Points a week, and i am pretty sure that maybe 1% (or less) of the playerbase is willing to cap out ALL classes within 16weeks or is in the Situation to do so.
if they Keep the daily roulette daily per character, every other class u playing Need to grind the 450 w/o daily bonuses.
Am I the only one that finds it a little disturbing to see people using words like "outplayed" in reference to farming stuff?Good. If you play more you should have advantages over people who play less. Once upon a time this used to be the basic principle of MMOs.

Oh right! I completely forgot about Assault, thank you.
