This guide won't help that the Job is sub-par in terms of DPS.
Follow the tips as you may, but we need SE to step up & make expedient changes to MCH.
It's design is below that of the rest of the Jobs in the game, it needs buffs.

You have to be the carapace yourself, as well. I found out he hard way that while you can shoot it from the island, none of your skills will prof unless your on Bismarck's back, which is weird. I ended up wasting my burst damage the first time I tried that.But our short damage burst is absolutely fantastic on the Carapace portions of Bismarck - if you can time your buffs and attack perfectly that is, which is really difficult to get the hang of... Of course even assuming you could pull off this feat, our damage is negligible through the rest of the fight unless your coin flips are going well.
literally why being a mch whose both clear ravana and bismarck ex. Bismarck ex is literally forgiving you since almost every time you dps him your burst is up which is basically some of the nasty ass dmg going out. but again the adds are the problem since you don't do much substain dmg the gloworms would be a problem.
I've only been asked once to leave was because dps wasn't high which was actually the smn who didn't get kicks fault at which a smn shouldn't be doing less dmg then me at all. I didn't roll into bismarck/ravana without full upgraded law gear.
So I'm seeing conflicting things about Gauss Barrel. This guide and a lot of people are saying to only have it up for the opener and when WF/RF are off CD but then I'm seeing others saying that 1) the RF instant cast GB is a bug and 2) it's actually a DPS loss not to have it on all the time. I'm so confused... If I have to keep it up 100% of the time I might have to drop the job because I just don't like that playstyle for it, it's the reason why I wanted to get away from BLM and try something different. *sigh*
people saying blah blah support role etc. WE SHOULD only take hit in Dps when we need to Song/Regen turret not lower then TANKs.

Just a quick question from someone who's simply learning the nuances of the class:
I understand lining up BfB, Hawk's Eye, Wildfire and Rapid Fire to use together (I'm specifically talking about AFTER the initial opener). My question is, should I only use Gauss Barrel (with GR and Ricochet) when those CDs are used or should I still use Gauss Barrel in between those CDs when GR and Ricochet are off CD? Meaning, the 3 second cast time on Gauss Barrel is still worth it for the dps from GB and Ricochet?

How necessary is it to swap GB on an off. My rotation was good before doing this but now this just made the job ten times more difficult.
I find I have a lot of down time inberween using abilities while enabling wildfire, rapid fire and GB
The GB skills: Ricochet (400 potency) and Gauss Round (200 potency) + 20% is higher than Split Shot (140 potency) and Slug Shot (180 potency) and the damage of Blank + Head Graze is increased by 20%, in addition to the extra 25% that it'll contribute to Wildfire, so it's quite necessary to swap GB on and off if you want to maximize DPS.
