All I see on his highlights are post nerf. I said pre-nerf lol. Good BLMs will hit 610s with the nerfs on T10 now a days anyways.
No it's not, the highest I've seen enkindle hit is about 2400 and that is with all buffs and with BISI discounted flare because you do not flare too often outside of a bursty type of scenario, and Enkindle with pet buffs up is probably the strongest burst attack in the game. Similarly, I also discounted pet AoE, as the pets all have a low CD aoe they can use as well.
Similarly, you won't really be AoEing for longer than 30 seconds, if you do SMN is already down because of its mana. This is also a scenario that doesn't come up often.
You cannot also just look at Flare's potency. Flare is awkward to use without cooldowns, and it introduces downtime into their rotation. SMN's AoE is consistent and has no real downtime, so it is steady damage. Furthermore, it takes the place of a Fire II.
Notably, SMN is far better at cleaving fights of low AoE numbers, 2-4 targets where it can efficiently AoE while still doing 90% of single target dps to primary burn target.
A Flare non buffed hits for about 3000. I would even say with one stack of atral fie 1 a flare is stronger.
I'm fairly certain the two listed as April 24 were recorded before patch 2.56; the date listed is when they were saved as highlights. Even if that's not the case, what does it matter so long as Echo was disabled? T13 is the only Final Coil boss to have an actual nerf beyond Echo (Shadow spawning). Would you discredit that Lucrezia T10 speed run for being done "post-nerfs" despite having Echo disabled?
Also if you look carefully ruin cost only 53 mana. Pre nerf it should cost 79?I'm fairly certain the two listed as April 24 were recorded before patch 2.56; the date listed is when they were saved as highlights. I've hit 611 with 10% on both T10 and T11 if we mean after Echo was added.
Also for proof, pre echo - https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...#gid=523986353. This thread was more or less never updated pass Echo additions and the only way you could get a number post echo if you cared to, was if you had video proof or the owner of the spreadsheet accompanied you on the run, neither of which I needed to do.
I've been doing that damage ever since the Ruin MP change.
Idk why people are referring to pre-nerf. Nothing was nerfed in the T10 or T11 boss fights, only the adds prior to the boss encounters and echo added and since they didn't do mechanic nerfs to any fights, runs with disabled Echo are still viable to judge DPS.
The only change that greatly increased a SMNs DPS, was the Ruin MP change which formerly limited us in all encounters. Post that change though? SMNs easily can do great damage and can challenge BLMs.

You Flare every time it hits two or more targets.I discounted flare because you do not flare too often outside of a bursty type of scenario, and Enkindle with pet buffs up is probably the strongest burst attack in the game. Yeah, not. Going from the top of my head, non-echo, non-buffed Flare in AF3 hits around 1700-1800.
Yoshi-P is doing his best and is patching Endwalker. Please wait warmly until it is ready.
Still Enkindles cool down should be reduced to 30s or its base potency increased to 1500 potency.
