Well, no one was complaining about it in the video.![]()

In order of appearance: Tri-Disaster, Painflare, Dreadwyrm Trance, Ruin III, Deathflare.
He more or less explained what they all do in the live letter, and the recent dengeki article gave more clarification on how Dreadwyrm Trance and Deathflare work.
I remember hearing that they were gonna make tri disaster useful now but instead they just named tri disaster something else so I have a different useless spell that does the exact same thing.
Yeah I would like to see them do that whole renaming thing with the whole job. Name it something else and make a real summoner so people who like the job can still have it under a different name and the other half can get the summoner they always wanted.
Btw remember when they said a few years ago that a free company would be able to summon a full primal and only one FC on the server could hold the summon at a time until the time expired. Yeah that was a thing once. Haven't heard sh*t about that in a few years
Still waiting

Do you think you could clarify? I don't speak Japanese unfortunately. Where is ruin III going to fit into our rotation?https://youtu.be/YZf7vBdsVu0?t=23s

Other than the fact that we're getting Ruin III, it doesn't say.
Rough summary of what's in the summoner section.
A focus on the summoner him or herself rather than the pets.
First are the addition of two new actions, Ruin III [Ruinga in JP] and Tri-Disaster. (The original action with the same name has been renamed Tri-Bind).
Tri-Disaster applies Bio, Bio II, and Miasma simultaneously to a target, which may prove very valuable. Perhaps the most interesting new feature is the "Bahamut Aether" [name probably subject to change in English], which is accumulated as players use Aetherflow.
After accumulating three stacks of "Bahamut Aether," players can activate the ability Dreadwyrm Trance, which increases magic attack power. Furthermore, when under the effects of Dreadwyrm Trance, they can activate another powerful attack [it doesn't say, but its most likely referring to Deathflare]. Usage of Aetherflow has been rather rigid until now, but these new abilities are likely to change things up a bit.

Even if its a single target attack, they better make Ruinga the awesome giant gray delayed explosion that it should be.
I'm not sure why Higashikata is attacking you like that as it sounds more like she is the one that wasn't paying attention. I know the part of the stream you mean. Nick said that when you enter Dreadwyrm Trance you exchange your current aetherflow stacks for Bahamut aether stacks. I actually think he was mistaken as he didn't seem very sure about his answer and it sounded like he wasn't even that sure of what the condition was to enter the trance. The QA guys told him to use it when Aetherflow's cooldown was at 30s but is that the requirement to use it or a suggestion for when is best to use it? The stack converting thing wouldn't make any sense either as it would mean no SMN would ever use Fester or Bane ever again. I doubt SE is that stupid.
The actual live letter translation said something about generating Bahamut aether stacks so there's probably some way to build stacks once you enter the trance.
Fairly sure Painflare and Ruin III aren't in that video. Remember the job actions video did not show all of the skills being added. There was no mention at all of Ruin III or Painflare in the live letter; hell everyone thought Deathflare was called Akh Morn until yesterday.https://youtu.be/YZf7vBdsVu0?t=23s

The skill you call Painflare was also used before Dreadwyrm Trance when we already have confirmation it requires the trance to use... so yeah it's not Painflare.
If they're not in the video, then what are the three other skills in the video we saw aside from Dreadwyrm Trance and Deathflare? Also, have you not seen the Q&A summary from the live letter? English, Japanese, or Otherwise? This is what he said in the video in Japanese. I broke it up in a previous post for clarity. Also note they're not necessarily in the same order executed in the video.
エーテルフローを消費する範囲攻撃 - An area attack that uses aether flow. This is Painflare.
さらにバイオ、バイオラ、ミアズマの三つを全て同時にかけるアクションとか - An action that casts Bio, Bio II, and Miasma at the same time. This is Tri-Disaster.
新しい魔DDとかですね、ダイレクトダメージ魔法とか - A magic direct damage attack. (The single target one in the video) This is Ruin III.
あとは新しいその60になってからローテーション、その今までのスキル回しに加えてくる二つのアクション - Two actions that will be added to (or rather affect) your rotation at level 60. This is Dreadwyrm Trance and Deathflare.
That's all five skills shown in the video. And yes, those are all of the skills being added.

Painflare has already been confirmed by multiple sources to require Bahamut Aether stacks to cast. Deathflare uses all three stacks for a huge AOE, whilst Painflare uses one stack. The skill you identify as Painflare is NOT Painflare. If they're not in the video, then what are the three other skills in the video we saw aside from Dreadwyrm Trance and Deathflare? Have you not noticed that most of the other jobs have had skills named that aren't shown in the video? Have you not noticed that there were skills shown for other jobs that were not named in the live letter? The video is NOT a conclusive display of everything coming.
We saw Tri-Disaster, Dreadwyrm Trance and Deathflare. The other two skills in the video are currently unknown unless. Just because you assume they are Painflare and Ruin II does not make it true.
