I think this will only affect FC Housing. and with FC housing, if there's not 1 person going inside the FC house by the 35th day, then I feel like the FC in question shouldn't have gotten a house in the first place. I am sure out of 100+ ppl then 1 person will go into FC house each day even. So this shouldn't even be an issue :P.

( If a situation like this arises, after the 35th day the house/land will get freed up and the money put into it should be reput into the FC chest) I think that's the "fair" way of doing it.

I mean, in my FC only a few people are actively in that house due to other things to do like end game and leveling. So lets say the active people take a break. Suddenly its a chore to make sure we don't lose our houses.

Yes, its an absolute chore to teleport to the house, enter it and walk around for a min, or logging out in the house.

So...you have to enter the FC house to get to yours...

Which would prevent the removal from happening.

SE should really offer the option of a gil refund for those who want it and have bought houses/plots before this news was released to players. It was a really shady move to make up this new rule after the system was already in place.

Explain to me how that will effect personal housing. If your room is in the FC house and you visit it..../GASP your in the FC house. Therefore you hit a visit and stopped the house from being lost. If the FC house is lost I seriously doubt your room would be, since just like leaving a FC they will have a system in place to either put your room on hold or some other option.

Like I said at the start This isn't going to effect very many Free Companies. But I believe it will effect a few small FCs like mine. This isn't about someone walking into the FC house once every 35 days, Its about losing something that took time and effort to get. Am I the only person that takes breaks from a MMO? If I decide to take a break and so does some others in my FC and no one is able to hit up the house for 35 days, I want my house when I come back it shouldn't be taken away. Or at the very least a Deed/Permit or the Gil it cost to buy the land/permit.



All I see with this 35 day thing is another way for SE to suck more money out of us. What if a small group of people have a FC house and they decide to take a break until the next major patch? At least one of them are now forced to pay a monthly sub just to login and do something in the house. A lot of players spent a lot of time to get a house. Not everyone invites 100 people that they don't give a crap about or even know, Just to get Gil from them to buy a house.

And if some of you don't think this will happen to Personal housing you're wrong. There are going to be way more personal houses then there will ever be FC houses. On my server there are still 21 open Plots in mist, I don't know about the other two zones. So I don't really see how taking away someones Free company house is going to help other FCs. Because I doubt anyone with a Medium or Large house will lose theirs. So at most the only thing that will be taken is a small FC house and in the end most FC are probably looking for med/large.

Yes I get the reasoning behind it is to free up space for other Free Companies to get a chance at buying plots, But it is being handled the wrong way.

True for larger FC's, but what about the smaller ones? Perhaps any that might be owned by a small family (or just several friends). I mean, getting access to an S house is cheap enough these days, but it's pretty disappointing to take a short break and come back to not having your FC house and any decorations you invested into it lol.

Even for a S closely knitted FC for 10-20 ppl, surely at least one of those members will most likely be on way before the 35th day.

Put it this way, if you invested so much into a FC house in the first place, i would think it will be used not sitting around collecting dust.

It is no one's business what I or anyone else does with our FC houses. Visit them daily, hang out ever couple weeks, decorate it up and then forget about it for a few months until some new decoration comes along... even just purchasing it and "letting it rot". It doesn't matter. It was the player(s)' gil and time. They do not deserve getting that taken from them.
