. . . I suddenly foresee a demand for a house-sitting service, so all the little one-and-two-actual player FCs can keep their homes during long vacations.

ETA: Seriously, though, 35 days isn't a lot of time and a lot of the smaller FCs are made-up of close-knit IRL friends and family, there's a hell of a lot of real-world reasons that could stop them from being in-game for 35 days; new babies, death of someone close, long family vacation, shared MSc thesis deadlines, moving house, beloved home town attacked by Jaeger, etc.

    Make it at least 75?

That is a little extreme isn't it? I can't speak for everyone who owns a house, But since I own a small house that is ridiculous. I mean I can see why, But to just say that after 35 days you lose your house is just wrong. People worked hard to make the Gil to get a house and purchase/make furnishings. I really think this needs to be looked at again, 60-90 days sounds reasonable. I have a small FC and when I mean small I mean two people. If I decide to take a break for two or three months I will lose my house, I don't know how many small FCs there are and how many players they have so it might not be such a big deal.

But maybe there could be a way to convert the house into some type of deed/permit? 35 days the house Is converted to a deed for the same type of land Small/Medium/Large and when the FC leader returns it will be in their mail.

They shouldn't lose what they paid for just because they don't play the game for a month.

Please clarify whether or not these plans include a way to obtain an equivalent piece of land and a house on a different plot of land if and when they return.

If their land and house are just gone, this is tantamount to the days where you guys used to delete characters when they didn't play for a while in FF XI.

I see no good coming from this. I'd suggest you ask the devlopers to SERIOUSLY reconsider this before opening that Pandora's Box and watching all hell break loose after the first house is forfeited.

What you should "look" into first of all is the prices - it's 4 months since FC housing release and the prives are still RIDICULOUS! Where are all the promisses about "re-evaluating" the housing prices? You could have increased the housing server capacities tenfold by now! And to make this all even MORE insutling you're now rewarding everyone with "useless" housing and garding items via ventures which most of us will be unable to use for years or even sell for any profit at all - this is just so "in-your-face" attitude Many of us have now tens of roofs, walls and furniting items which are just cluttering our inventories and retianers and can't sell those to anyne but NPCs thus wasting venture coins on those in a first place.

This "improvement" only shows that you've NOT TOUCHED (expanded) those darn FC housing servers at all and now you're looking for the back ways to again decrease the amount of currently purchased plots as well as detere even more people from buying the new plots. STOP hiding behind silly excuses and expand the servers, increase the amount of wards and decrease the prices. This is nothing but joke.

All the large + medium plots are bought up in gridania and limsa.... only a few bought in ulda. If it wasn't so ugly we'd consider moving there.

So please consider adding more houses soon!

    Uhm, ok.
We have an FC of only two members. What if something happens that we can't play for more than 35 days? What if, for example, we move in real life and have no internet for a few weeks? Or if we just want to take a break from playing the game and, understandably, don't pay the subscription for two months? Not everyone plays a single game all the time and doesn't do anything else. Sometimes there are other things you want to do or just HAVE to do.
We worked over three months to get our FC to rank 6 and get enough gil. Then we even had to buy a small house because the medium ones we wanted were already taken.
And if we were to take a break from the game, voluntarily or unvoluntarily, all of that would have been for naught? That's very funny.

I agree that losing the house and land, everyone worked for, in just 35 days is a joke.
It should be impossible to lose the house and land as long as your FC exists.

But because that won't happen, I'd like if it would work like this:
If a house isn't used for ~70+ days while the FC still exists, then the house and land will be made available to buy.
Should someone buy it, they would have to pay the money for the plot of land and the house and get a voucher to remodel the house.
All furniture and other stuff except the house would be lost after the purchase.
The money the buyer paid should then be transferred to the FC chest of the previous owner, minus 5-10% for the "broker".

The currently planned system would just mean that even less people buy land and build a house, because they could lose everything if they took a break.

    Agree that this sounds awful.
My Free Company is just me and my Girlfriend, We've spent a long time time working up the money for housing and levelling the FC with just two of us.
We occasionally take long holidays or hold of on subscription for two months while busy, that means we lose everything?
Would be sorely disappointed if so?
I'm already slightly fearful you'll disband our FC if we're not around for a bit?
Does anyone know if FC's are disbanded if no-one logs in for a certain time limit?

Wow. I guess they really don't approve of 1 and 2 person FCs. The housing servers must be more of an issue than they originally thought what with this and how logging out from within the house gets you booted to the exterior.

On my server, the small housing prices dropped drastically enough that all small houses are gone. Nearly all mediums are gone. It blows my mind that an entire FC could've been so active as to buy a plot of land and house and then just quit.

I guess...get a game friend to make an alt to join your FC? They can log in occasionally until the FC members get back from whatever they are doing.

The point of FCs was to have a bunch of people working together on things like housing. FC houses are like clubhouses; I don't think SE intended for them to become personal housing though many people are using them that way.

I could see this being a problem for a tiny FC that is composed of just military. 35 days is nothing for deployment. :/
