Then maybe they shouldn't have made this game so easy? I mean you can get to 50 in like 3 days. I hate token systems and wish they would do away with it. Just make it drops from dungeons and give the dungeons a CD. But I realize that will never happen ;3;
Giving dungeons/coil a cool down accomplishes the same thing a token system does, slowing down progression to keep your players playing over a long period of time. Also, if dungeons had a cooldown they would have to change the entire system they have in place now including doing relic quests.
Depending on the cool down would depend on how slow the progression is. Usually with token systems are much slower than running dungeons. But like I said, I know that will never happen. I am with you on this....if they wanted to purposely hold players up they should have (in my opinion) done it in a "better" way. I think we are all just sick of doing the same 1-2 dungeons every week and Coils for those of us that can find groups to play with (my FC does not have enough players ready yet...so save the comments on that one). They should have made the RELIC Quest longer than hell to complete so that when you got it you felt REALLY GOOD about what you are holding...it feels good now but with many out there it almost cheapens it...alright it completely cheapens it. They also should have made super long quests to obtain your DL and/ or AF +1 gear and then that would have felt good to have...instead we say, " I just ran WP and AK a bunch of times to get this gear and it took me this long to do it...yay?"
The entire problem here is that the game was rushed and this was an "easy" solution for them to make it work in their mind. run the same dungeons and create a token system so that we do not have to come up with more content right now. Then we will make T5 hard as hell so players will be stuck forever unless they have no lives and can play with the same group for 6 hours a day on end to get it down so good that they can finally beat the cheating content.
Yes I am ranting but I feel that people making excuses for lack of content is frustrating when it is lack of creativity on the part of the dev team.
To be fair I will say that I still love the game and I grind out my dungeons each week (thank god they are raising MYTH cap to 450) and have fun with my FC and leveling my alts and crafting...I just want some more frigging story please....I do not even burn through content like some people so it cannot be said that I "over play" the game and it is my fault.
Come on Crystal Tower....we all need (well some of us need) our iLV 80 gear since it takes 6 months to get all AF +1 to tide us over for a while.
