So. Ps3 keyboard/mouse situation? What's the real deal

Anyone with this like to chime in with sage advice

Can you only type with keyboard or can you actually move around.

Does mouse work good with this game ? Can you eliminate the crossbar?

Any pros and cons?

I just need an info dump on this. I've searched and there is lots of conflicting info

Only different is that you don't have the normal hotbars, only the crosshotbars and that you can't activate skills on it with the keyboard. But you can click on them with the mouse.

Moving around work like on PC.

PS4 would have the full PC UI available.

If all you have are the regular crossbars how do you move over to new skills since you can't have let's say 40 on screen at same time ..

You can't. The PS3 does not have the KB/M UI. It was left out to conserve memory.

So. If I read this correct..

You have one set off cross bars.. Originally crafted for controllers.. 8 commands on left... 8 on right? And no way to cycle between a set of crossbars to another in middle of game ? Wouldn't that make using a keyboard useless? I'm still confused sorry

It should be very obvious that without the KB/M UI, you play with a controller.

You can use the mouse to move UI elements around and such, click choices(OK/Cancel) but otherwise, yes. PS4 should have the full UI due to not having a miniscule amount of Memory, but the PS3 doesn't have that luxury.

i play on the PS3. I use the controller for doing just about anything that doesn't require chatting, and when it comes to doing certain dungeons fights, I switch to mouse and KB. U can key bind the function of the R1 button (lets u change crossbars from one set to the other) to another button on the KB to cycle through your bars.

But can you bind the buttons on said bars to the keyboard, like you can on the KB/M UI, is the real question. I'd say a fair amount of people wanting a KB/M UI don't want to click the abilities.
