Thank you for continuing to showcase your lack of knowledge on how the market operates and your inclination to rush to judgment based on your own bias and assumptions.

First, high cost goods generally have low sales volume, especially in MMOs with sharded servers like ARR, which by the nature of its design limits the size of your customer base (but also the number of competitors). It’s common to see sales of 1 or 2 of these items in a day, yet nothing for the next 4.

Second, nowhere in that post did he say how long he left the item on the market before changing the price. It could be a day, or it could’ve been 5 minutes. That you’d assume that it didn’t sell and he raised the price after an extended period of time to target RMTers shows your bias and is simply illogical. The former is rather obvious, he didn’t say or even imply, yet you assumed. As for the latter, why would RMT gil buyers wait until the price is higher to purchase those items? They have no more inclinations to spend more gil to buy anything than players who acquire gils legitimately.

The question you should ask is if you priced it at a point where a new player could afford it, would the gil still be on your character?
No, the question you should be asking yourself is why would anyone price the highest level crafted endgame items based on whether a new player can afford it or not, especially when doing so means losing money. Does Bugatti price their Veyron based on whether a typical fastfood worker can afford it?
