Without question, yes.....it hits with a potency for 100 AND THEN you get the DoT in addition. Once again, no question.

There is no point in making any of the Gryphonskin gear because of cost, and also because there is much better gear in the game already, 3 weeks and you have AF+1 on your character.Since we're talking stats, what stat should I aim for in gears? I was thinking of making a Gryphonskin Jerkin top once I reach 50 on my Leatherworker.
Skill speed, crit or determination? Theses are the stats that come back the most for monk related gears.
While skill speed is important, just how much do we need before we cap? Not to mention, we can't use our skills too fast, since animation of the move takes priority over when we can press our attack.

Aww i don't wanna wait 3 weeks until I can AK
I'm at that part in the relic quest and its toyin with me haha
Speaking of Tomestones and such, should I save for Darklight accessories or armour first? My accessories are quite lacking atm especially compared to the AF armour. (aetherial jewelry and white belt)
I've started the Relic Reborn quest too and I've heard you need 900 tombstones for that so I dunno what to prioritize.
EDIT: In a light bulb ping moment I realized I wouldn't be able to beat the primals on hard or higher level dungeons either without better gear so I answered the second part of the question myself xD

I already have most of my Darklight armor, I'm just missing the hat and pants (although I think I'll keep wearing the Peltas pants) and the rest of the accessories.
The only Gryphonskin part I was aiming was the top, because it had Skill speed, hence my initial question stat priority.
AF2 takes far too long to get, with only 4 myth per primal battle? Btw, I think that a HQ crafted Gryphonskin has potential to surpass darklight a bit, and I don't mind the cost, since I'm mining it all myself and I happen to have a weaver friend. The only thing that I'm waiting for is to see just how much skill speed we need before it starts catching the animation block.

Amdapor Keep gives 40 mythology tomes AND 80 philosophy tomes per completion.I already have most of my Darklight armor, I'm just missing the hat and pants (although I think I'll keep wearing the Peltas pants) and the rest of the accessories.

Anyone tried Garuda Hard mode yet on Monk and if so any tips?
Use Featherfoot to dodge the boss's spin attack and make it a bit easier on the healers.
Time it so you can Rockbreaker + Howling Fist the plumes when they first come out, then hit Arm of the Destroyer immediately after to blast them all again. 330 potency to all of the plumes is nice.
When it's time to run around and avoid the tornados, let the ranged DPS deal with the satin plume. Ignore the normal plumes and just DPS the boss as best you can.
Always be on the lookout for the add's Slipstream attack. It not only does a ton of damage, but also stuns you. Don't be in front of the enemy when she uses it.
If someone wins an argument, they have learned nothing.

Thanks for the quick responseI managed a few runs last night and when it came to the plumes I did feel like I was running around like a headless chicken. I will try what you suggested and hopefully this will clean up my attempt.
Thanks again![]()
