This is some information I gather in a personal wiki, most of the stuff is compiled from other players, here are the lists:

• Don't complete rank 3 hunting log of GC (save the boost for the patch)
• Level secondary classes to get cross-skills
• Level tradeskills (to repair cheaper?)
• Gear up

To gear up:

• Spam Castrum Meridianum and The Praetorium for philosophy tomestones (no loot!)
• Spam Amdapor Keep and The Wanderer's Palace (difficult instances) to get good loot, and tomestones of philosophy and mythology
• Farm Ifrit for your weapon (alternatively get your GC weapon, a bit worse)
• You need 900 philosophy for the relic, make sure to save them
• Get access to Bahamut's labyrinth (progress killing Ifrit, Garuda, Titan…)
• Work towards relic weapon

• Grand Company / Crafted - First level 50 weapon you want to get
• Darklight - costs Allagan Tombstones of Philosophy
• Primal - Ifirit < Titan < Garuda
• Relic - requires a long quest chain and for you to beat all three HM Primals
• Relic+1 - costs Allagan Tombstones of Mythology
• Allagan - drops from Coil of Bahamut

Armour

• Artifact (blue Class gear) / Grand Company
• Amdapor Keep drops
• Darklight - costs Allagan Tombstones of Philosphy
• Artifact 2 - costs Allagan Tombstones of Mythology
• Allagan - drops from Coil of Bahamut

• Castrum Meridianum: 100 Allagan Tomestones of Philosophy
• The Praetorium: 100 Allagan Tomestones of Philosophy
• The Wanderers Palace: 50 Allagan Tomestones of Philosophy
• Amdapor Keep: 80 Allagan Tomestones of Philosophy and 40 Allagan Tomestone of Mythology

What you want to do at level 50 is unlock and begin running the level 50 dungeons, especially Amdapor Keep. While Castrum and Praetorium are faster Tombstone of Philosophy farms, Amdapor Keep armour is slightly better than your Artifact gear and while collecting it you are also farming Allagan Tomestones of Philosophy and Mythology.

After Darklight
Once you have your Darklight gear (or even while still working towards a full set) you can start on your Relic weapon quest. This requires you to have completed all of the main story line and done of all the class/job quests for the specific weapon you are after. Allagan Tomestones of Philosophy (ATP) tokens can be exchanged for Darklight gear and Allagan Tomestones of Mythology (ATM) for Artifact+1 from NPCs in Revenant's Toll - Mor Dhona.

I re-arranged all my skills at level 50, no macros.

I kept all the buffs to be manually clicked, all the combo stuff in 1234, alt+1234, and situationals in ctrl+1234 (areas, shoulder tackle...)

As for tradeskills... I'm leveling up leatherworking together with mining, it requires a great amount of dedication, and I doubt it is worth it, but well, I'm into such stuff. I picked LW because of the relic craft requirement, however I could have gone with any other and just purchase it. I believe LW aligns with monks, I hope in a future they add more useful stuff for endgame (I don't have anything to be crafted that would benefit me atm). Mining just to pick a gathering skill... it complemented leatherworking in some cases.

Having one tradeskill at least to level 20-25 is good for the materia melding stuff

Gearwise, what I did was:

1. Farm Ifrit to get my weapon.
2. Run wandering palace occasionally for fun / see how it was / random upgrade
3. Run Amdapor Keep to farm tomestones while at the same time getting the gear set (pelast) (random runs with friends to castrum and praetorium)
4. I upgraded all my right inv side (jewelry) with Darklight from the tomestones, at the time everything was upgraded, I was full on the left side with the green set from adampor keep
5. Now I aim to start getting AF2 pieces slowly, finish my relic, and upgrade the green set with Darklight slowly with the spare tokens

I'd really like to now the name of the personal wiki, so I can look up some stuff if I ever need to.

Other than that, I'm having a blast with this class so far and I hope that it'll be as much fun to play in the future, as it is now ^-^

Here's my keybinds screenshot, they're nothing spectacular but they work for me (I want to make a few modifications to keybind the buffs at some point... but it's so overwhelming that I get lazy )

With those keybinds I can do the stance-rotations with 1234 and alt+1234 (2-3-4 being dots, on trash I just use 1234 and maybe alt+1), all the other stuff is pretty situational or random. If I want to do the AE combo it's usually ctrl+2 -> ctrl+3 -> ctrl+4


I didn't put my personal wiki, because it has other uninteresting stuff, and because I run it home in a raspberry... so it'd be bad if it got overloaded, but well, here you go (don't share it too much, it's public enough ) - There are no PMs here

I would like to ask you to tell me / us how your rotation looks like as I am interested in how to use Fracture and Touch of Death.

At the moment I am not using Fracture very often. Touch of Death random, if I notice that its running out.

Maximizing the monk rotation at the moment is a hell of an issue, so there is some aspects I'm ignoring for now (for example, I use perfect balance to boost to GL3 fast, but I suppose there's better combos to get more out of it, like probably spamming snap punch).

I'll summarise what I always try to do, I almost always end #1 dmg by large differences according to ffxiv-app, even though not accurate, it gives an overall idea and a good approximation.

I start boss fights maximizing GL3

(side) Perfect balance -> Snap punch -> Snap punch -> buff up -> Demolish + Fracture + Touch of Death -> Dragon kick ...
