Yes you are probably lacking in gear for AK. Run Wanderers a few times first. So I'm at the point in game (50 MNK)
I attempted to do Amdapor Keep.
As it came to conclusion...that my gear may be....lacking to do that efficiently that or unless I'm just doing something wrong...
Currently wearing full AF and w/e gear I've gotten from quest and such...
Should I focus on trying to get the gear from tombstones?
If so...where should I spam to get the tombstones...only have 345 atm ><
Aww i don't wanna wait 3 weeks until I can AK
I'm at that part in the relic quest and its toyin with me haha
Speaking of Tomestones and such, should I save for Darklight accessories or armour first? My accessories are quite lacking atm especially compared to the AF armour. (aetherial jewelry and white belt)
I've started the Relic Reborn quest too and I've heard you need 900 tombstones for that so I dunno what to prioritize.
EDIT: In a light bulb ping moment I realized I wouldn't be able to beat the primals on hard or higher level dungeons either without better gear so I answered the second part of the question myself xD

Anyone tried Garuda Hard mode yet on Monk and if so any tips?

Use Featherfoot to dodge the boss's spin attack and make it a bit easier on the healers.
Time it so you can Rockbreaker + Howling Fist the plumes when they first come out, then hit Arm of the Destroyer immediately after to blast them all again. 330 potency to all of the plumes is nice.
When it's time to run around and avoid the tornados, let the ranged DPS deal with the satin plume. Ignore the normal plumes and just DPS the boss as best you can.
Always be on the lookout for the add's Slipstream attack. It not only does a ton of damage, but also stuns you. Don't be in front of the enemy when she uses it.
If someone wins an argument, they have learned nothing.
FOR DOCKHAND!

Thanks for the quick responseI managed a few runs last night and when it came to the plumes I did feel like I was running around like a headless chicken. I will try what you suggested and hopefully this will clean up my attempt.
Thanks again![]()

Here's what I try to do on Garuda (note that these are MNK specificthings)
- As stated, time Rockbreaker+Howling fist on the plumes (it is important you get howling fist when the plumes are next to garuda, because the cooldown is exact for the next spawn)
- Save Shoulder tackle for emergencies to keep greased lightining up (specially to move from plumes to garuda)
- Keep your stance rotating on the plumes, use Rockbreaker if enough aligned plumes
- If red add spawns close, I always try to DoT it before the green reaches the raid
- Use Blood for Blood (if you have it) in Garuda-only phases
- Save buffs for sisters, and trigger them before they reach the raid (IR, defensive stuff)
- If you dodge any skill, use Haymaker
- Pop Mantra when sisters spawn and reach the raid
- I switch to Fists of Earth when Reckoning comes, I don't know if it helps though

So, I've been playing for about one and a half week now and I'm having several questions concerning what I should do when I hit 50.
First of all, I'm planing on learning some crafting Jobs when I hit 50. What are the Jobs that I should consider on getting and leveling?
While browsing through some of the posts here, I noticed that some of you talked about AF2-Equipment, so I was wondering how you'll be able to upgrade your AF-Stuff later on (same story for the Sphairai, since there seems to be a Sphairai+1).
Something else that I need help with is keybinding of skills. I'm having difficulties on finding something that's comfortable for me regarding this issue (for now, I'm going with the standard keybindings and left-clicking on skills if necessary).
Is it better to just write macro's for standard rotations I'll be using, or is it good to change the key-bindings around the WASD-Keys so that I don't have to stretch my hand to it's limits to use one particular skill?
