It doesn't matter. The "jargon police" are all the potential customers that have been led by Se's own wording to expect something that they won't get. When people don't get something they've been led to expect, they get disappointed, and that doesn't help.

Really, you are complaining that 1.0 players were first going to be granted free access and later weren't, based on a quote which was only referring to an unrelated post-launch bonus for people who get ARR pre-orders.

Didn't we actually get such free trial back in sept? Iirc some people didn't get legacy due to that last month of 1.0 being free. Which was for ppl who still had an active SE account and had not played since earlier states of 1.0 no?

ARR didn't exist back then. What were you gonna try, 1.0? Can't have a free trial of a game by using something that doesn't in any shape or form represent it.
