I call bs on this unless you have some proof. Otherwise complete and total exaggeration

Maybe 500 times to get all members all weapons of a ls that consists of 20+ ppl. I myself went 67 kills before I got my first weapon, but then by kill #85 I had all 7.

The drop rate was bad, but not that bad.

The problem with this is if they make it that difficult, most WON'T beat it ever. There's a reason Blizzard "dumbed down" alot of end game stuff after it gets released, because they didn't feel enough people got to experience it. There's a lot of people, like I said before, who just won't put in the time and effort to get really good and just want the game to be laid back. But when they can't do parts of it due to that, they don't play. And SE wants to attract some of these people.

I see it more and more these days, the mentality of people growing up and playing games. Not all of them mind you, but many. My nephew for example, I introduced him to some SNES games I had(played via EMU though) He liked many of them, but gave up on them just a few minutes in for being "too hard". And I see this everywhere I go just about.

To many games have god-mode either standard or built in. Back in the nes/snes days games were as you got them and the only way to god-mode it was to use something like a game genie, but even then no one considered it a real win unless you did it without cheats.

FFXI is the same way, its all about the zerg now with the highest reward. No one wants to work for anything anymore. Personally I blame the parents who dont foster competition and give the same rewards to everyone regardless of effort cause "every child should be a winner". These more spoiled generations are growing up now and we are seeing this mentality seeping into everything from gaming to the work force.

Ya make everything so hard that all the people who complain that garuda is too hard, start up a million new post about whaaaa its to hard then SE has to make it easier.

Doing the stuff multiple times wont bother MOST MMORPG players because grinding, farming, crafting, etc you do countless times to get the reward at the end, RNG Boss fights are no different, dont like it go play another game.

Ifrit is a very fun fight every single time i do it. Not so hard at first when my shell had just formed our our shell had beaten him on our 3 try. like everything in life the more you do it the better you get. I got my ifrit claws from getting the totems i was happy i still do ifrit. We now do ifrits just to see how much weve improved ourselves since beating garuda.

Yeah, all it really takes is some practice. The people QQing about content being difficult would probably cry if the ever played the mega man games I played back in the day. XD

i think they are the people who lose to chill penguin. Or think that FF13 is better than the older FF.

People don't beat dungeons or primals for nothing. They want the drops.
Nowadays, getting items request that you win each content multiple times, except for the few lucky ones that drop the first time.

That's totally "putting time and effort". So the people you speak of probably don't get those items already, if only they manage to win these content.

Maybe the game can do like DDO, when before starting a quest, you chose the difficulty. Higher difficulty would have higher droprate, so you could chose between "time" and "skill".

My shell does. We are fighting Ifrit Extreme now i dont need to fight him yet cause im not on that part from relic. Cause im waiting for Summoner to come out and do the Relic for that. We are doing it to see if we can win. We are taking our "Time" with trial and error, Dry runs if you will, to gain "Skill" to beat Ifrit Extreme.

If your shell plans to get relics, "putting time and effort" is not a problem for you.
Besides "training to win" is just a prerequisite.

And Ifrit Extreme is not a flawed mechanic the quest only requires you to win.

I disagree. I have not been able to beet raven nevermore, but I think its still a great fight. And its MUCH more satisfying to get "Yes! We beat the hard boss and got the 100% drop" than "Oh finally... The easiest boss's RNG FINALLY gave me the drop"
