This.they could make massive fun dungeons that has many ways to tackle content instead of the Corridor Doom Style runner. besides i want to take my time in a dungeon, explore it and sight see not be rushed through it by some timer of non impeding doom. now if the Dungeon was flooding with water or the volcano were to explode then i could live with a timer.
That's exactly what i mean.
If i want to stay there just to watch how beautiful the rocks on the ground are for 3 hours, Why i can't?
Really, find me just 1 reason to keep the timers (except cases like the nice examples you made)
Because this community fought against open world dungeons. Instance dungeons needs some form of restriction on it or being instanced serves little purpose, you can have 'unlimited instancing' but you also waste resources going that route and a timer is usually a form of allocating your playerbase on those instances.
Usually you do:
-Open world dungeons
-Numerous paths for exploration
-Chests littered around (like any good FF or RPG.)
-Instanced Boss arena.
No problems except people who like having things all to themselves.
In poor words, you said that they're keeping timers, for limited resources?Because this community fought against open world dungeons. I can understand this in the old XIV, but not in ARR.
Every MMO even the worst f2p don't have this limit and a company like
SE is afraid of their technical possibilities so they use timers? ... in 2013.. Really?
Oh and FFXIV also, is the only game where to enter in a dungeon, you need to be in a full or half pt..
I suppose to save resources from entering alone...

What's your solution if we fore go timers? As was stated, an instance without a time limit is pointless.

The time limits on 1.0 dungeons were quite reasonable. We don't want the instances getting overloaded with afkers.
instancing is already a restriction. a restriction based on very poor server's or very Little technical know how.Because this community fought against open world dungeons. Instance dungeons needs some form of restriction on it or being instanced serves little purpose, you can have 'unlimited instancing' but you also waste resources going that route and a timer is usually a form of allocating your playerbase on those instances.

whats the problem with summoning Bubbly Bernie with fish? besides whatever he drops is mine as i spawned him.
its alot less about Me & Mine incorporated than many people make it out to be.
So you can spend time exploring or go afk they're pointless? I think removing the timers would remove an incentive for players to actually try to play the game. Point being, we're supposed to work together towards an accomplishment based on our need to complete it within "x" amount of time.
Removing speed runs I agree with. Removing timers on all instanced dungeon content? Bad. You're ignoring what you're being told; that the timer serves an actual purpose.
How about throwing some of that money there going to rake in when re subs start towards servers that can actually live up to the Massive part of this MMO. how about a Micro Server on the Main Servers Dedicated for instances, the Wards are already done like this.
your going to like this one, how about No Instances. *Gasp* the horror of it all!
Then, I feel sorry for the 10m of players playing WoW, 3M of players Playing GW2, and also i feel sorry for everyone who play Rift, SW, Tera and of course the tons of f2p that DON'T have timers in instances. They're not incetivated to play? C'mon -.-"
