I believe a resolution for this would be at least 1 Totem/Nut per win, some may obtain 2 or 3 if they are lucky. That way, everyone wins, some win more than others. SE should totally hire me. <3

Problem is, they know no one likes the current system, they have acknowledged that. They even say it is being thrown aside for a token based system. So, why can't they just do that in 1.xx? Are they truly afraid people will just blast through it and get everything in a short period of time? If done right, it shouldn't be the case.
Well even if they didn't want people to just blast through it, they can increase the amount of totems/nuts it takes to get a weapon.
