Never said it was required. PLD can already keep better hate than War without it. I said that they can make more use of heavy darklight letting them get higher enm gain. You know, cause the endgame gear is supposed to help you.shouldnt really require a gear set to make a job work. it should be viable with any appropriate gear set. (key word appropriate) part of why i say cover is broken. without the af body you lose the mp regen and in turn thats fairly crippling as for the ost part outmanouvere isn't an overly impressive mp return (sure theres a few exceptions) but for the most part the most viable mp source a paladin has is cover and that forces you to use af. which is kinda why i think it still needs balancing.
but paladin is certainly much better than it was. few minor tweaks to mp regen giving people the option to use different gear more freely. maybe let them use melded cobalt/sentinals or soemthing without crippling a huge source of there mp.

But I don't want to look like a tin can. Although I love the stats.
The -cure potency is murder on those though. It kills your versatility in a lot of fights... Personally, I don't think it's worth the increased enmity if you can already hold hate. If you're having issues holding hate and not staying alive, ok, use it. But otherwise I don't really think it's the best trade off.
Wrong set. DPS set has -cure potency, the Heavy Darklight set doesn't have that.The -cure potency is murder on those though. It kills your versatility in a lot of fights... Do want.
Just learn how to play itGreetings!
First off let me state that I already know there's a myriad of problems with PLD. I know there are lots of threads about the problems still plaguing PLD so I won't go into any of that.
All I want to know is how/when does SE plan address PLD's issues? A dev. response with actual time frame would be nice considering both 2.0 & PS3 beta are right around the corner and the gap between PLD & WAR is still very vast.
Thanks!

I'm guessing you can't eat 100 tonze hits as good as PLD, I would estimate that you infact do it 4000 times worse.
He has a good point though, because a group of posters circle-jerking over how skilled they are despite PLD's current design is not going to help the job get ahead in the long run. It took a step in the right direction, but PLD is still far from being fixed and complete.
* The sad thing is that FFXIV turned RDM into a turret, and people think that's what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to combine sword and magic into something more, not spend the bulk of gameplay spamming spells and jump into melee for only 3 GCDs before scurrying back to the back line like good little casters.
* Design ideas:
Red Mage - COMPLETE (https://tinyurl.com/y6tsbnjh), Chemist - Second Pass (https://tinyurl.com/ssuog88), Thief - First Pass (https://tinyurl.com/vdjpkoa), Rune Fencer - First Pass (https://tinyurl.com/y3fomdp2)
