When is PLD Getting Fixed So It Can Be a VIABLE Tank?

Wow, I never knew that SE forced everyone in-game to create parties for content! Those people shouting for dungeon runs and primal fights and EXP parties and PL parties are all SE management people! If you don't join, you're banned! Yea right...there's no forcing whatsoever. People of their own accord create the parties for such content.

Also, what are you talking about? You level GLA and MRD from 1-50....they're still the tank option for classes at that level...

You don't suddenly go "Oh, my GLA upgraded to a tank!" when you reach 50, you know.

And Whitemage tank? Laughable. Aside from WHM being totally squishy compared to the proper tank classes, we have animation-lock, we have spell-movement cancel, we have SUB-PAR HP which causes high-damaging attacks to kick our arse.

Side-note: Is it really that hard to finish a word or two off, as well as keeping a respectably eye-pleasing sentence structure? I had to read that through three or four times before I could decipher it.

The statement was "That's se's fault for creating parties from rank 1-50 without a tank" not "SE's fault for creating parties." There's worlds of difference. Your pulling excerpts from a post and not even quoting whole sentences just so you can attack them?

No xp party has a proper tank posted up, we don't xp that way in this, it's mass pull AoE rinse and repeat. Hate goes where hate goes and noone particularly cares so long as mobs die and not players.

You really kind of do hit 50 and suddenly "upgrade" to a tank. Until 45+ instanced content there's nothing that calls for proper tanking, and that 45+ content isn't friendly to anything <50 so basically your a puller/DD til 50.

We've only used PLD as tank for our speed runs since the patch, so long war! We run into 0 issues having a pld main tank and in fact find it more enjoyable for the runs.

Pld needs to be more like Templar from Aion, that was the most fun tank class ive ever played in an mmo, its pull skill was epic and defined the entire class and made it useful.

Make it so PLD absorbs AoEs (Hits only the PLD) and all of a sudden everybody will want a PLD.

There is no longer a huge discrepancy between PLD and WAR. Both tanks have the advantage in certain fights and they are also pretty much interchangeable given the right player.

If your group can't field a PLD, then it's because your group is bad.

i love pld and i want to play it more. also, i'm not a big fan of speed runs myself. but when i see people say "remove the speed run" i don't think this is the immediate solution. don't people tend to want to do things faster anyway? regardless of if there's a speed run reward or not? it's just more efficient to get things done quickly.

Pld as of now is far better as a tank then war ever was. Our pld has no problems at ALL when it comes to speed runs or any end game content.

If you or a pld you know has failed at such end game runs, you sir have failed at this game and should try just punching things from behind.

Warrior tanks fall into 2 categories.
1> the steel cyclone spam fest who used to hold hate ridiculously easy and solidly and now find it harder.
2> the all singing all dancing combo maniacs using who also there other combos godsbane vengances and antagonises properly. these guys are the ones generating practically unbreakable hate.
imo paladin sits somewherein the middle of both at the minute.

it's alot better than it was, but still not quite there.... at least now it has its foot in the door though.
