When is PLD Getting Fixed So It Can Be a VIABLE Tank?

People are not just starting to tank on Paladin. ( >_>) This thread is full of people who've been doing naught but tanking on Paladin, all this time, despite its flaws.

The ability has not yet been fixed since introduction (which would be launch day?), yet you do it at the moment, and recommend it to other "new" tanks, because you're used to it?

Is this not about maximizing the effectiveness of the job? Using the ability that enhances enmity of damage you deal closer to your damage-dealing combos is the logical, and efficient use of the ability.

The truth is that you did not actually know about the flaw in Sentinel, but your bravado did not permit you to admit that you were in error, so you bluffed. Kinda transparent, especially after you stated

I've just recently gotten my PLD to 50 and AF'ed so my experience is limited. I have no idea how it played prepatch.

There are peeps who arent veterans at tanking on PLD or tanking at all.
And there will be more.

Sentinel. It was suposadly working a few patches ago. i as many other tanks where using it.
(i bet u did too), it was only a bunch of patches later ingame that they said its broken dude.

I still use it at start of the fight to pretty much reduce damage.
I keep it up incase i need to dodge a Mob's WS during the battle.

I aint gonna use it up to enhance enmity from a combo i am spamming anyways. and i don't recommend it to anyone.
Have it up is the way to go.
You can use at start since there arent any major WS u need to dodge while mob is just being voked in.

Someone is a little dramatic when he wants to post. Just simply come in and give your counter argument, don't need a story of how you responded in the process nor take it down to one's personal level. If you want to help guide people in the right direction, I hope you decide to take a more mature route. People listen to a more well put together post.

Some are just getting back into PLD and still testing the waters after using WAR for so long. People will eventually know where to go and what is best for what situation.

Alright, firstly,

I still use it at start of the fight to pretty much reduce damage. Use at start to reduce damage from regular hits, although the mob is not yet using weaponskills, and skip the opportunity to bolster enmity - ed
I keep it up incase i need to dodge a Mob's WS during the battle. I keep it handy in case I need to take a big hit, but I ignore the enmity bonus it could give me at the start of a fight, when I immediately use it to avoid a big weaponskill that ... isn't happening. - ed

I aint gonna use it up to enhance enmity from a combo i am spamming anyways. and i don't recommend it to anyone. Additional enmity off of a high-damage combo is useless, especially when the recasts match up pretty nicely on the heavy hitting WS and the ability in question - ed

Despite there being no actual benefits, I'm going to pretend that moving Sentinel off fifteen seconds in my much-vaunted starting pattern is going to get me in catastrophic trouble, because I've got an inflated ego and cannot admit to a logical fallacy, said fallacy being that I use Sentinel to avoid big damage, but I'm using it at the very start to avoid big damage - that isn't happening... because I cannot cop to being wrong, what the heck, my pride won't take that. - ed

Secondly, the post wherein I originally quoted you was not addressed to new Paladins, but to Paladins talking about the issues with the job - that is the reason you were telling them to

The above passage is doubly fascinating because you refuse to make a simple adjustment to "actually get good" at Paladin, while, in the post I am referencing, you lambast others in the thread for not putting forth enough effort. Basically, you're making it up as you go along.
