Leve mobs changing based on night/weather conditions would be nice.

I remember the devs saying that they had plans for content involving weather and thus had no plans to remove it... So maybe something similair with the day/night cycles as well?

Man, what I wouldn't give for the night to set and a huge roaming NM with the ferocity of a Guardian of the Grove popped. Only thing is that if he sees you, he'll take you out no questions.

Well... "Common" sense isn't all that common anymore, now is it?

Syntax you mean something like in FFXII when is night the mobs get stronger, harder and we even get to see new mobs that aren't around during the day? If is that then yes, please!
yes, exactly that. But with new 2.0 mechanics i think they can take what was in 11 and make it so much better.

At night I would love to see some fog with random enemy encounters like old school rpgs. It used to be you walked for a couple seconds then bang, fight scene. I would love to just be walking and have wights/skeletons crawl up from underground and attack you at night, add some fog and eerie music too.

I remember when i first started playing ff14 and it started getting dark and i was like "oh, i wonder whats gonna happen" haha, yea, nothing happened.
I'm usually against stuff from XI but this is absolutely awesome! Come on SE make this happen! Stronger and harder enemies at night. NM that spawn only during the night and other very powerful mobs that only come at night.

    Nice thread!
I agree @OP.. I really look forward to scary nighttime effects in the game, and not just wights, but even more creative and interesting ideas, some new stuff.

This is a must, would really enhance the experience and immersion in the game.

cool idea.. maybe even see them in a group, pack of wolves or hyenas chasing after you.

Perhaps some Evil mages in mysterious cloaks, pirates, thugs..
Maybe have groups of gangs or warlords meet up and shiz breaks loose between them.. bit of fireworks around Eorzea =P

or some thugs ganging up and picking on an npc or even real players and saving their butts earns you some rewards.

    hmm..!

I remember this request! Unfortunately there still isn't a set time on when the additions to nighttime monsters will be implemented, but they haven't forgotten about it when I mentioned this thread to them!

I also made sure to pass along your clever ideas to make Eorzea nights more eerie and dangerous.
