I was very sad when that happened, it's like a little bit of the world started to die. I'm the most casual a gamer can be but I totally love curious mobs and the danger of AoE and having to watch your back and where you cast your spells/skills. That's one of the things that kept me coming back to XI and would love to have again in XIV.

If I wanted a boring MMO I'd play WoW. Right? But I'm here and I want to see mob AI and interesting things happen, mobs that surprise. I love the idea in the OP, dangerous foes at night would be fantastic.

Man, that would be so freaky. Perhaps to make it a little less annoying to travelers, have this sort of thing confined to avoidable patches of fog?

I'm all for anything to make the game feel a little more dangerous and unpredictable. I loved some of the first live events, with the storms and pitch black nights, and no music in Thanalan. I was really worried about going out. But a bunch of random level 99 mobs in a corridor I have no chance of escaping isn't really my idea of adventure.

I think it's a totally cool idea. Would love to see some "uncommon event" where sometimes a larger Skeleton or NM would pop out along with some of the smaller ones for an extra challenge.

I really want SE to add those features they removed .. but maybe change them around so there's less negatives to them (for example complaints about curious animals + leves).

This game doesn't have to be like other MMORGPs.. SE just nees to make the unique things work instead of them being an annoyance

Is late so I skipped all posts and tell my opinion now. I read the rest tomorrow.

Syntax you mean something like in FFXII when is night the mobs get stronger, harder and we even get to see new mobs that aren't around during the day? If is that then yes, please!

Yeah I'd like to see a Minecraft mechanic to it. Have to carry torches or find a lighted area by an outpost or something to avoid the undead hordes that wander about at night

We need an element of danger to keep our wits sharp. Also as the Garlean forces get more bold they could stage night raids on towns/outposts/hamlets.

I feel the same way about the voice acting in FFXIV... though I don't believe that could actually be British people voicing those characters. We don't sound that stupid.

Make some area scary in the nighttime sound fun (ex. some area in Black shroud will have some scary sound effect, bla bla)
and have local npc talking rumors about that area XD.

[QUOTE=Tahldon;668111]I feel like these would give sense to why camps are dispersed about the lands. The Camp personnel always speak of protecting the lands, but at the moment there are usually any monsters around the camps at all (save a few places). This could be a bit more interesting if there were more baddies roaming the lands at night. The Camps could serve as "safehouses" from all of the madness. Whereas the night-time baddies are walking about at night, the Camps would be the only places one could go (if not in a city) to escape the madness. I mean, the camp is armed with a Battle-Warden and several other protectors who claim to be in defense of the area. I feel it'd be of more use.[QUOTE]

Would bring a whole new meaning to "Hey, guys! The sun's going down. We better head back to camp... soon!"
