That is hardly enough to occupy even those who only play a little bit after work.
If we assume that some people will finish at 5PM, drive home which could take time, then make dinner, then they get to the peak hours of 8PM-10PM, then 15 minutes is 12.5% of that. A roulette could be another 12.5% of that. PvP could be another 12.5%. The idea is obviously that these combined activities add up.
what have casual players truly gotten outside the A raid until this field zone?
Hunts, maps, cosmic exploration, normal raids which have weekly rewards, various weeklies, class/job leveling if people bother, and I still think Extreme/Unreal is not that hardcore unless you have a disability. I'm not saying they can't add more things for this scenario.
The scales between content has become strangely tilted towards tactical raiding, even in the new field zone instead of raiding where you just jump in like with Delubrum normal, Castrum or Dalriada
I haven't got around to Forked Tower yet, so I can't comment on that. I agree that Bozja did it well. But even without that, the CEs are pretty good honestly and I'm still enjoying doing them.
Even if many of the exhausted ones have left that is nothing to be happy about
I'm not being happy about it I'm just being honest about what I see in the game as someone that actually interacts with randoms in the game all of the time. I can't, in all honesty say what OP said is reflected in the sentiments I see every day inside the game.

I am happy YOU love the slop being served up by 14, but some of us who have played over a decade are FED the HELL up.
As just put above, I'm just being honest about what I see. That and counterpoints are good. It's not so good when things are an echo chamber because they become isolated from the other perspectives and viewpoints that exist in the world. Sometimes people want these forums to be like a political chamber where only one party's view is reflected or debated, but it's only through debate that a middleground solution can be worked out.

Odd but like I said, it is rare. If I join 100 prog parties to get 100 Extreme totems, I will on average see discord links in maybe 20 of them. Same with Savage really. It's not absolutely needed but there are many people in NA that like to use it or have small friend/PUG servers or FC servers.

Right, we engage with very different content.

I do play a lot of Frontline in which Discord vc is used, but almost exclusively by premades supercharging their advantage.

I understand this as a strategy, but personally have no interest in vc because it completely destroys immersion.

Those of us who prefer a solo approach to the game are constantly derided because "This is a MMORPG!!!" Which is ironic because vc advocates are essentially eliminating the RP element.

To get back to the original point, I completely agree with Hallarem. It's great you intersect with happy people in-game. My community is thoroughly pissed off and half of it has unsubbed.

That's essentially what I mean. The people I knew who expressed negativity sentiment unsubscribed after Dawntrail release as well. So the lion's share of exhausted people seem a lot quieter like many of them ain't here no more. Of course it will always be like this on this forum, so I have to ground myself by seeing how it is in the game itself. If I was just seeing pure negativity everywhere then I'd say that.

As mentioned, where we differ is the timing of the exodus. You place it earlier than my experience.

I'd also suggest that making the proportion of happy online players larger by compelling the less happy ones to quit is a peculiar approach to game design.

Well it's varied but I mean over the last year. Some may have done it before 7.0, some right after 7.0 and others before sometime before 7.2.

I can't rule out that this is their strategy. It is actually some companies' strategy, so they can more narrowly focus on the particular customers they want to and be a more focussed business. The time when that ceases to be a company's strategy is when that approach actually causes their product to fail financially, which of course it sometimes does.

However, it's also possible they intend to try and satisfy all the feedback they get, but that they are just extremely slow at it as history would suggest (ie. addressing feedback a whole expansion later).

They announced it in slides at fanfest. We are still set to get a "new take" on a deep dungeon, a blue mage update, beastmaster, probably another Ultimate and it's unclear if we will get more Chaotic raids. And a number of other things you probably aren't interested in otherwise you would've mentioned them.
