Correct. When I entered Chaotic, clearly everyone in there was having fun because we were finally in large scale content again after so much solo content in Endwalker.

In the Extreme, I was laughing and joking with the people I met. They all seemed so cheerful, and a rather good amount of times they dropped a discord link and I could hear that they enjoyed the content and were having a good time together.

Yes, you are missing the point then, twice.
You need be to be focusing on how much fun people who 'don't' do PF content are having.
Day three of Chaotic PF was already horrible. It was already wait for 30-60 mins or more for fill, pull twice, someone abandons and wait another 30-60 minutes. Play for 30, another abandon, then 6 leave at once then the party collapsesc and start again. It was horrible.
Frankly Jeeqbit something is starting not to add up if your saying you had a good experience of PF.
Like we're you public PF, or are were you using a discord PF? Most PFs don't go to voice. I've only ever seen two true public PF go to voice. (Frankly one was terrible because they just kept joking throughout and it was impossible to concentrate.)

As for OC, maybe it's an EU NA thing then, because none is joking and chatting in shout. In fact the only lengthy interaction was when someone asked people to slow down and wait at the fates, and some dick kept answering to tell them to "be faster", "get good", "I can manage it so why can't you"
The dick was on my party. Din't bother to say hi to me but could be bothered to harass over shout. (I sympathised with the person over shout so they didn't feel they were alone. Ruined the experience for me though because i was already meh, so I was more than happy to log off. I called them out in party then left to do anything better. It's bad enough I'd had to pay for this experience I wasnt to going to suffer it more than necessary.)
And that is the nearest to an exchange I have seen.
OC is not at all sociable. Not on EU. Maybe it's starting to now as the casuals are coming on board but, how much longer do I wait if I log in today and find that's still not the case? Treat again tomorrow? And again?

Telling people to suck it up and just do the old treadmill, Hildibrand that was… 30 minutes at the start and one of the most boring beasttribes with three quests a day while high end raiders didn’t go even one patch (and with the field zone even got one more raid) without content for them

I wasn't just saying just Hildibrand and the beast tribe, but the beast tribe and custom delivery is spaced out and something to occupy a casual amount of time. I mentioned hunts, FATEs and PvP Series because I know lots and lots of people who don't raid that do and enjoy these things. I say it only because I personally did these things myself and enjoyed them.

I'm also not saying they couldn't or shouldn't add other content to occupy time like the Field Operation. I'm just saying that outside of the forums, people just do the aforementioned content and seem happy with it contrary to how the OP presents it. I actually do not get the sense players are "exhausted" as described, and my guess for why that is, is because the majority of those exhausted unsubscribed earlier in the last year or before.

At some points it seems that they either have lost passion outside a few members (you can see the “love” still in the music, fights and a few gear pieces and graphic highlights), have no idea what they want themselves or have delegated the newer devs to this game while all others do other things.

I don't believe they have lost passion at all, but it's true they have added a lot of new developers (and have been doing a big recruitment for important jobs lately like writing and programming). However, Yoshi-P has consistently said that a lot of the developers now were once players.

I think part of the issue ultimately must be the arduous process of approvals and procedures they have to go through in order to do anything that isn't the status quo, or they are just too afraid to ask if they can do anything that isn't the status quo, or doing it would be difficult because different departments are responsible for different tasks even if one person could handle the entire set of tasks which would make it simpler. I can't think of a better explanation at this point, when independent developers don't have these struggles over a 10 year period.

Most PFs don't go to voice. I've only ever seen two true public PF go to voice.

You are in the EU region. There are multiple languages in the EU. As such, voice is difficult, because it requries all the players there to be able to understand what is being said (verbally). It's different in the NA region because almost everyone universally speaks English. While it's rare in the NA region too, it's far more common than "twice". I mean, I killed Zalenia Extreme almost 100 times and plenty of them did drop discord links. Maybe 20-40%? I don't really track the percentage. It's optional to join, but I always do it.

That's it. That's the extent of social interaction in OC. If you're lucky, the people in your CE farming party say hi and then tyfp when they leave. That's it.

You met lots of happy people doing EX, Chaotic, and Savage?
Yeah there isn't an unhappy casual who would disagree that High End players have been having a great time!
And you say you've met these people on voice in discord?
I'm not saying it's been deliberate but I' ve always got the impression you were this PF lone wolf proving it is possible just to play the game casually.
I now suspect that actually, your in a savage FC, and you do all your content in a partial static over voice, minimum. If not mostly near full static.
Probably using ACT to boot.

As for 'meeting' people in OC, sorry no.
I know I've been playing enough OC and I've 'met' noone.
No one says hi. No one talks. No one discusses.
I've been doing my damndest to be sociable and say hi.

I'm not saying don't speak up with your perspective, but it feels like your addressing a point that your missing with this one.

People are exhausted from having a miserable time. Getting their hopes up, and then having then dashed.

I and many people thought we were wanted by SE and our fellow players. We thought we were friends. Almost a family.
Then we find out that if we had any complaints about the casual game we were supposed to play Ex and savage, or literally, and in no uncertain terms fck off or shut up and keep away from them. Dont discuss our casual game because they are enjoying their high end game.
It's been exhausting making the effort to try and find a way back in, 'give this new chaotic a go' etc, 'wait for OC itc will be like bozja and castrum', then we get no Castrum.

I'm not sure we will have anymore interactions Jeeq because with this OC, I'm not even interested in 8.0 anymore, but I would be viewing all further interactions as though I'm speaking to someone who does all their content with partial savage statics, and is more than happy to deal with the ACT logging discussions that come up over discord, or doesn't have to worry about not being up to scratch.

For what it's worth it's a shame region travel isn't a thing, as I would have loved to try and meet you and let you show me what I' ve been wrong with PFs that have made them so unfun.

It's funny how people think 8.0 is going to reinvent the wheel and be something completely revolutionary, like people thinking the supposed 8.0 "reworks" for the jobs are going to bring "identity" back, meanwhile look at what happened with Black Mage recently, so any hope for "job identity" is thrown out the window, and it has been for years since even Shadowbringers, maybe even Stormblood.

I bet those "rework" will just be giving us back some of the skill and job system they have gutted over the years.

I really hope Expedition 33 is a wake up slap to Squeenix/Yoshida. Even if their gameplay isn't the most original thing, it's certainly way better than ff16.

Whilst I don't want to get too deep into the Doomposting myself (I'm one of the few here who doesn't think Dawntrail was a complete catastrophe and actually enjoyed it for the most part).......
I'm not looking forward to the new Alliance Raid at all. I, personally, did/do not like Jeuno: The First walk very much at all. Whilst I'm well aware that expressing an opinion about content being "too difficult" is unpopular here, I nonetheless find the mechanics, and the speed in which they're used, difficult to react to, particularly combined with snapshot issues.

On the less relevant side of things I don't think the music was terribly interesting either - certainly not en-par with the likes of Aglaia and Euphrosyne.

So if Jeuno is anything to go by, I don't see myself enjoying the second Echoes of Vana’diel AR either.
