This agument, and arguments in general and incredibly stressful things, so whatever is bothering you likely isn't stress. (I do love a good argument, but they are absolutely stressful events.)

I'm worried if this is too much stress for you and you don't like it, how do you find a job? go to school? talk to family members that vote differently than you? drive a car on a freeway? pay your bills? Go shopping and cook dinner?

The point is this level of stress is literally what it means to be human. After six years experince doing literally anything, i'd expect literally anyone to be able to do with a few unexpected twists and turns.

I don't want to pile on or be an asshole, it's more that I'm worried about you. When you logoff, are you ok?

    Best,

Arguments are stressful but the thing is there is not much of an argument to be had here. It's just pages and pages of "skill issue", "git gud", "you can't be this bad after 100 levels", all the passive agresive "it's ok to be bad/die/wipe", the "it's not harder", the "it's harder but it's ok because I like it", all the "but such and such duty was hard too", "it's level 100 so it must be harder". Once you filter all that you end with less than a page of posts.
If I made this thread is because I like the game a lot, and I firmly believe this increase in difficulty for the easiest duties is going to be bad for the game in the long run. I stand for what I wrote in my past posts.

It's optional content. You dont need to do it lol. If you cant do it, come back when the next expansion is at level 110 and beat it with a couple bodies (or do what most of us warriors do, try soloing it at the new cap). Level 10-100 is your "normal content" or casual if you will. Anything beyond that after cap is either option or not necessary to need doing (unless yoship himself specifically says you need to do x fight to be able to access the next expansion-- similar to what he made everyone do with crystal tower series and Shb). Casual content is all your npc trust dungeons. Gathering, crafting, fates, among other things.

Oh, TY very much, I forgot the "it's optional content" comments. I ignore those too, already said why.

If you don't want to argue the point, why are you making a forum post? It's okay to say that you have no substantive argument beyond "I don't like this thing" but why do you insist that it is bad for the health of the game when the vast, vast, vast majority of the playerbase is having fun in the new content? I am sure that CBU3 recognizes that some players will be alienated by difficulty changes. Yoship has said that himself before. They are okay with that because they, and the majority of the community, believes that making a video game play like a VIDEO GAME is the correct business move to ensure that the game remains popular and running. Do you remember how Endwalker had a huge launch because of the story and then the player count immediately fell off a cliff, even by FFXIV standards? Yeah, that's because outside of Savage/Ultimate/Criterion/EX, literally every single piece of combat content was completely unengaging. There is a sizeable community of players that wants to do their hunts, roulettes, exploration zones etc. and have a collect-a-thon social experience with other players that are not hardcore, and simply want to be engaged by the content they are running. That VERY LARGE section of the playerbase was completely screwed over by Endwalker, and now that you turbo casuals are EVEN SLIGHTLY inconvenienced by maybe having to use a couple braincells to think about the optional content you are doing, you piss and moan on the forums.

Grow up, not everything is about you.

Thank you very much for the question! The point is, if I'm right and this hurts the engagement of the game I believe most people aren't going to forums or reddit or twitter to express critique for the game, they will either just stop doing the content or if worse come to worse, stop playing altogether. If this comes to pass I feel that's important to leave the devs know that this might be one of the issues.

Right, like tons and tons of people did with Shadowbringers and Endwalker. Because they were boring and had nothing to do once you finished the MSQ if you didn't raid. I just don't see how you can take a personal opinion about your experience in the game and extrapolate it to the entire community. Do you know how many midcore players came over from WoW and then immediately went back when Dragonflight came out because Endwalker had no endgame outside of savage? A lot. Do you know why WoW is having a huge resurgence in popularity right now? Because the devs decided to actually listen to their most dedicated players, hardcore and midcore alike, and designed the game FOR them. The same thing happened with Destiny 2 recently. That game is also experiencing unprecedented levels of positive PR, because they also listened to their most dedicated fans instead of catering to the lowest common denominator. That is how games become popular, when they have a vision and stick to it, and cater to the audience that actually cares to play the game regularly. And by the way, this is not me saying that CBU3 should cater exclusively to hardcore raiders or whatever, but that they should cater to the people that care enough about the game to post on the forums, reddit, etc. the ones that actually log in and play the game regularly and don't let their subscriptions lapse the month after a story patch comes out. I see a lot more of those types of people on here agreeing with me than they do with you.

But if you feel that I represent such a small minority of the player base wouldn't it be healthier to just ignore me and move on?
And BTW, I wouldn't take people in this forum agreeing with you are as a solid metric, forums and other social media interactions are such a small portion of the player base in any game, this is not exception. That's why I don't let the 29 pages of comments berating me get to me because I know they don't represent the community of the game.

I honestly don't really understand the viewpoint of the content in DT being hard, sure its 'harder' than EW, but let us be honest here and realize the truth that EVERYTHING is 'harder' than EW content. EW was the last expansion in a 10 yr long story with a HUGE influx of people to the game from ShB, which led to a lot of hand holding in EW. People complained that the Garlemald quest where you become a Garlean soldier was too hard so they added an easy mode if you died.

Unfortunately, Normal raids 'is' easy mode for raids. Nothing is hard to figure out, its not impossible to kill with 20+ deaths, the only way to insta wipe is if you fall from the floor breaking, but after seeing that one time that should literally never happen again because its telegraphed so you know its coming. As people have already said if you find it too hard, its optional you never need to do it. If you want to do it, learn your job. It says you are a Red Mage and I'm willing you wager you are just standing in place casting or running around not casting neither of these things is ideal. You need to get use to movement and slide casting so you don't get hit by everything a fight throws at you. Take the time to practice on a training dummy or in a dungeon, but don't sit here trying to be a keyboard warrior of light and complain when you don't put in any effort.

Yep! Good point, you aren't really relevant to the discussion here anymore, and neither are the handful of people still complaining. That being said, I think it is very important to shut down your talking points because I think most of the people here, who disagree with you, would absolutely hate for normal content to regress to please you, a member of a tiny minority of players.
