never fear, if there are not enough tanks for things, I am sure that SE will do their best to remove the stress and difficulty of being a tank, and they will get the same loving attention that healers received.

What stress? I main a drk, have been for years, tanks are just getting worse year by year(unless you play war), I feel like a glorified dps a lot of the time, even in extremes and raids you might have one "different" thing you need to do, but I'm just a weaker dps overall.
I think people dont play a lot of tanks because it's just a weaker dps, might as well play a dps(?), also, they dont release new interesting tanks and healers. they released two new dps's, so ya, a lot of people play the new dps's, every group I join today has at least one viper and one picto, it's gonna be like that for a few months.

If they released a new healer you would see it more, like they did with sage.

I mean, you can consult any one of the many, many, many threads about the many issues tanks currently have with current content design. There’s no ‘official’ thread on it, but there essentially is a ‘tank strike’, people just haven’t been as direct with it as they have for healers

I’m not sure what relevance the dps queues of other games has to this topic. FFXIV has an enormous playerbase and more than enough players that there’s no logical reason we should be waiting so long for healers or tanks, unless there’s fundamental issues with both those roles putting people off ever playing then

Well, Ya I guess you are right, I play the role because I like it thematicly but I am mostly a dps that dies a bit slower, no real mechanic of being a tank, it happens sometimes in highend content, but even there, here is a tank buster, or, grab that tether then tank buster, or, here are 5 tank busters in a row, switch with the OT a couple of times.
