how difficult is it to balance invincibility and nothing?
I wouldnt say its hard.. they just dont want to. its not a pvp centric game, there is nothing TO balance.if I am playing dps, I dont care if someone else, playing a different dps is out damaging me, I do the best I can, that the job can. it all contributes to the end result.
trying to balance a trinity mmo with very contained pvp is just an excuse to do nothing.

It really isn't an issue on 4-man stuff anymore. I queue over there on my alt all the time and even on dps it's pretty speedy. I got locked out of AR because I can't access the gear ilevel (which hopefully that change in the 7.0 patch will fix) so I can't speak on that one, but Trials is good and the only other one I notice can take some time is Normal raids. Normal raids have gotten better as I got more options, though. But I did have to go over to Aether to unlock Alex and Omega. I just finished ShB on her so I haven't done Eden yet.No, I have not, as I learned pretty early on that queues were bad and I needed to DC hop to get any roulettes done. With that having been the norm for the year and a half I've been playing, I find it difficult to believe that it's not an issue anymore, and at this point I actually feel kinda... adverse to the idea of playing with anyone else from Dynamis because I don't feel any sense of community or connection with my data center or even server. This is just the place I got stuck on (twice now).
Though it's probably moot anyway, I only main DPS and we just got two new ones, then there's going to be all of the ex-healers jumping on DPS as well, so I'm probably still better off focusing on other venues of earning XP on my own.
Yeah, the change is real, you cannot stack E.Dysk with E.Dosis anymore. As for where this information comes from... I can't say that here on OF, but if you know, you know. But honestly, what a bummer. The most exiting thing healers got going into DT, a small potency gain DoT, got nuked before players had a chance to play with it. No fun allowed. Wait for the full release they said.![]()
Assuming they already nerfed Sage as if they had two-dots they would be just clearly superior to all the other healers. I wish instead they made my Glare 4 do a lot of damage to balance than take away the second dot.
Nope sorry, all healers have to effectively be the same thing. That's why they turned AST cards into a discount Aetherflow system.
So from the infos sage has dmg neutral toxicon (down time shield neutral...... you know what i mean) and pneuma and astro gets 2 k mana back with a draw so they dont have massive mana minus. Only thing not fixed is macro that is still a dmg loss. And yes no 2 dots as sage on the target.......... Just yikes
Gotta be real honest but players obsessing over 20 potency or whatever damage loss is limiting developer freedom. Macrocosmos is basically damage neutral to any normal player. A single Malefic direct hit. Not even a crit. Even a direct hit Malefic will outweigh the difference.
Developers listening to people whining about 10 or 20 potency losses is why we're in this state. They shave off 10 or 20 potency here. Then 30 potency there. Then 10 here again. Then 20 there.
Next thing you know there's literally nothing to optimize on every job, anymore.
New Macro would still be a DPS gain if the healing was necessary and couldn't be covered by DPS neutral heals.
It's just that situation doesn't exist, so short a total overhaul they have to keep making abilities neutral so people can use them effectively. (effective use of new Macro is just never use it)
