I find it telling that the anti-strike posts always say things like "stop whining" and "this is hurting others in the game," but none - none - of them address our main concerns with the healing role:

1. Healers spend more time DPSing than healing at all content levels, verifiable from data parses.
2. Our DPS "rotations" primarily consist of a DoT and a single direct-damage ability spammed ad nauseum.
3. The game meta has evolved around this general devaluation of the healer role, evidenced by things like wall-to-wall pulls being expected and tank self-sustain growing to ridiculous proportions.
4. There being no encounters in the game that highlight/prioritize the healing role.

It's fine to be critical, but you gotta come with better arguments than "suck it up so everyone else can have fun."

If you are using FFLOGs as a bar for any form of data it is used by maybe less than 15% of the entire game population. It may be accurate to those who use it, but it's not accurate as a whole. It's why the Developers don't use FFLOGs or any other form of third party data gathering. They use their own metrics.

so one must ask, if it is used by less than 15% of the population, why has it been used to try and discredit the strike? usually by people who apparently live and die by their parses and say "do harder stuff"

2 weeks ago a week ago when it actually matters, there are tons of people taking a break or catching up on story. Only late bloomers are doing raids. It would have been the most effective as it MAY have actually effected que times. Trying on launch day when literally almost the entire world is going to be logging in on the same time makes no impact at all. It's like throwing a stuffed toy at a brick wall thinking its going to do damage.

so, June 9th, which is.. wow.. 2 weeks ago.. would have been a better time to start this? might want to check when the thread was started by the OP then. looks like we started it in your ideal time frame. go figure.

except the post was made advocating the strike to BEGIN on Dawntrail Launch on July 2.... that's the point being made, it won't have an effect on things because of the number of returners who never step foot in forums.

Almost every single ultimate group will have logs, it is just too useful of a tool. I would wager that 99% of ultimate clears have a log.

if the logs point to an issue in that content, and those of us who don't ever step foot in it are claiming to have the same issues... what does that tell you?
