The feedback on here from the tank and DPS mains just goes further to show that they barely even see healers as classes. They aren’t there to be the main job of someone’s WOL, they aren’t meant to be powerful or respected. They are there to frictionlessly ensure that everyone else gets to have fun

As a healer main in this game for nigh on 14 years all I can say is that I’m tired. My role has been eroded of complexity and expression for 3 expansions. I’ve watched the tanks do my role for me for 2 expansions and my feedback and critiques continue to fall on deaf ears.

I have no idea who modern healers are designed for but I know now it’s not me. This is the first expansion I’m truly considering dropping the healer role and not returning, so if that was the goal- congratulations I guess

To be fair, that's how a lot of players see other players in general. How many times have you been addressed by your job abbreviation rather than your name in a random group?

I actually feel like I've only seen or experienced this when people are either making a joke or correcting some kind of mistake/giving a tip. Generally people tend to use it for the latter to avoid seeming personal or confrontational, I imagine.

Also consider some names are easier to type than others.

These "what if scenarios" are things I just don't experience, including the level.90 tanks with 8 stacks of vul never using their healing. I just don't experience that. I've played since EW and maybe quit a dungeon due to tank incompetence once or twice.
