If they didn't care they wouldn't post. I wouldn't be surprised if some were absolutely petrified that if a strike somehow succeeded they will have to adjust to the changes. Not just changes for healers, even tanks and DPS might have to give up their goodies. The push back from a "laughable" and meaningless strike is very interesting. Obviously the push back is for entertainment value only, surely.
Doesn't matter which community, they all act the same in the end.
As a DPS, I'm all for giving up my mitigation and healing tools. Let the healers handle all the mitigation and healing as far as I'm concerned. Give us more fights with constant bleeds, harrowing hell, etc.If they didn't care they wouldn't post. It was to be expected, but it's ok. Anticipation of the naysayers only motivated me even further to start the thread and support the strike. So many continue to think the purpose of the strike is to goad the development team into changing the state of healing, or to lengthen queue times. While the truth is we are striking because of the status quo and the double downing of the encroachment on the healer role. We have the power to refuse to participate any further and no matter how much they shame and ridicule, it can't be taken from us. What can be taken from us has already been taken from us. That is why we are striking, and we don't need the support from those who just want to kick dirt in our faces.
The fact of the matter is that those who choose to participate in the strike are healers who genuinely care about the role and their party members. The community losing even one of these healers is already too high. It does not matter if there are still 10 healers in the queues for every healer that strikes because substance will always weigh more than quantity and I confident this will be felt during duties. Tanks and certain DPS have been given abilities to help sustain themselves and the group, and they're going to need it. This is the truth that the naysayers will always deny, and never accept. They won't be receiving heals from me come DT, and that is just fine by me.

Thank you for this, genuinely. I'm tired of the players who keep ignoring what this will do. I do not expect the devs to change things, much less quickly. A lot of the people going on about it not mattering fail to realize what will really happen here. I'm also tired of them saying "Go back to WoW" not all of us played the thing so that isn't even a choice for all of us. I'm also tired of people who do the whole "I'm only a healer for queues/coms" they just spit in the face of someone who ACTUALLY wants to do this. We have every right to say no, and like you say substance far outweighs quantity. It doesn't matter if there's 10 people who can TRY and replace me. They will forever be nothing but a lesser fake and will try to dispute that. The ones who are striking, as you said WE CARE. We are here because we WANT to, not out of some stupid impatience problem fixed by being a healer. I mostly hope that players realize what they are doing when they tell us "This game's healers are mad too" or other stuff like that, they need to realize what that says to not only players like myself but to the community as a whole. This isn't going to just effect vets this will turn off people from even trying to pick up a healer because the community has told them we aren't needed. It was to be expected, but it's ok. With this strike hopefully the community itself will realize why this is a problem and stop attacking us for "over reacting" or whatever nonsense they wanna say about us. This isn't an over reaction, people waited YEARS and we're watching things wither and wither.
#FFXIVHEALERSTRIKE
1: Healers need something to do when they aren't healing, the lousy one button dps experience and occasional second just is not enough.
2: The sustain of the nonhealer jobs has taken our job from us...which has left us nothing to do besides our lousy one button dps experience.
3: We do not need most of the healing buttons...a lot of those buttons can straight up be removed or consolidated. Which would be a good thing to consolidate using the new sys.
4: Pure & Shield means nothing and having any combination of the two is just overkill.
And then some makes a thread mocking this one.

Taken from that thread:
It's ironic that they don't realize starting up such threads does indeed support this one because if #FFXIVHEALERSTRIKE didn't have any traction, nobody would even bother to start up a thread like that in the first place. I also know that XIV content creators are always looking for anything juicy to talk about, and one or two of them may very well pick this subject and create a video about it.Joining in on this, I know you meant for this as an attack on the healer role...but this is indirectly supporting the movement xD.
But, if the issue is glaring enough, hopefully they fix the healer role and tank/dd role gets a nerf in sustain. Until then healerless party only, let's go.
It's only day 2, and I don't have a crystal ball. Perhaps this will fizzle out, and perhaps it won't. I know I will continue to do my part and either way I am very thankful to those of you who are willing to take a stand and/or show your support.
In addition, on the Discord and in this thread I have caught wind that solo activities will be difficult due to how boring it is to do it as a healer. I feel you, but often sacrifice is required in order to protest. Leveling healers to 100 outside grouping will be inconvenient to say the least, but stand strong. It can be done.
It would probably be best to link the discord in the first post with an edit, that way it does not get further buried.Taken from that thread:
