    My very barebones idea for AST would involve either
    1) all cards being reverted to SB but both balance and spear are given non damaging options, to compensate for the damage difference you either buff malefic or give AST a different buff to do somewhere
    2) give all cards an AOE 3% effect then return their original effects on the person they are played on (so for example bole played on a tank gives the tank a 15% mitigation and then everyone in a 25 yalm radius around the tank gets a 3% damage buff

    This doesn’t fix 90% of AST’s issues but I don’t think putting divination back on RNG is a good idea
    spear would be fine to return because it gave an increase chance to let party crit but it was not 100% a garantee that your party will always crit and even then people still want only balance.

    So really it should be that balance do not do damage buff can instead give a debuff to enemies like a slow or heavy or take away from pvp ast and give a slight increase movement speed or increase parties hp pool by about 5%.

    Crit is still damage up (it’s why old spear was just called the poor man’s balance)

    If they returned the old effects, changed balance to a non damage move but left spear alone you would just be fishing for spear instead

    Fair enough then spear could then do like I guess magical defense increase by 5% while balance do hp 5% should not be too breaking I think.
