I understand that there are many players who like the wards, and you are one of them.

There's no reason why this would have to be an either/or situation. Wards can remain for those who want ward houses. Players who would prefer the instanced housing could use that instead. It has the potential to open up more plots for those players who are only interested in the wards.

As for having a big interest in housing, I do and I would take RIFT Dimensions (which were fully instanced) over a ward house instantly if Dimensions were added to this game.
