See, the problem with this is the armoury system MADE you level every class originally if you wanted to be useful. For example in FFXI I can do every event as my PUP, BST, SMN, WHM, PLD, RDM, BLU and DRK with no problem or exclusion, especially with Voidwatch where having a variety of jobs is 100x more beneficial than trying to stack jobs like you do in FFXIV.

Others are stuck in the past. They can remake FFXI pitch perfect to whatever you thought was the golden age, and it still wouldn't work because you're viewing it through a filter of nostalgia
This is the problem with people, always thinking it's 'nostalgia' or 'stuck in the past' just because they can admit that SE has done better than what they did with FFXIV, if anything, those who will automatically shun something because it was done in a past FF game are considered FFXIV purists, even when most of the world automatically shun this game.

The best thing SE can do for this game is make it its own game, apart from FFXI.
They did that in 2010, where did it get them? Why are they looking toward FFXI and other FF games now? That should be your answer as to what SE thinks is best for their game.
