No wonder people instantly shun things in this community. Everyone is living on the biggest misconceptions ever. Everytime I've done HNMs we didn't "camp for 12 hours", we camped during the window, only a fool spent their entire day camping an HNM. It was insanely easy to get the last ToD and to show up for the first window, which lasted no more than 3 hours on most, excluding the ToAU kings, which are SET spawns of 36+ hours (why? It depends if they were defeated in Besieged or not.)

It doesn't alienate anybody, you either do the content or you don't. You aren't forced to do anything in an MMO unless it's driven by the community, much like class stacking.

OMFG someone that finally knows how the HNMs worked in ffxi!!! your right only a complete dumb ass would sit out there during the whole thing. 3 hours is really not a long time. Most ppl spend that much time spaming AV, CC or ifrit, moogle everyday! imo i think kings/hnms stuff like that would be awesome to have.

Most people that didn't play ffxi will probably not like it. They will see the timer and be like F**K THAT! again only time you need to be around to try and wait for the HNM would be during there window. You don't have to wait the full 16+ hours lol. As much as im loving how easy it is to obtain weapons/armor in this game. I feel we need to get some stuff to where not everyone can obtain it in 1-2 nights lol. Having some exclusive armor or weapons that everyone doesnt have make people stand out. Also like you said would add more content.
