If that isn't reason enough, why buy a house in the first place? Why tell SE they need to create other reasons to own one? You could just skip it as content and focus on other things, much like I skip PvP.
PvP is a niche. It's neglected content. You cannot possibly relate this to housing.
Housing which is a highly desirable commodity and is very much NOT neglected. SE creates all the reason for players to want to have housing. You can tell that by just how many housing items are on the marketboard and all those furniture design competitions and all those people who design houses and show them off. Hell there's a whole sub community around housing design itself. This game, which centers itself around characterisation, has made a house a limited resource. Housing which is arguably a very large part of a player's characterisation experience. If this wasn't true we wouldn't be having this argument.

Imagine if SE put out the much desirable long hair with actual non-plank board physics. Anyone can buy one. Here's the kicker: it's limited in supply.
A lot of people would not appreciate the "just skip it" sentiment.

you right
let's start demo on those apartments and those fc rooms, free up some resources

We're here blaming each other for experiencing the symptoms of a broken system. YoshiP is too goddamn stubborn to budge on the housing situation out of "community", though if I had my pick at his brain he probably sees that it's just not worth the effort. The game is neither young nor has great infrastructure.
