So we shouldn't hold the lead developer of the game responsible for literally lying to us? You're just being asinine and argumentative now. People are allowed to criticize Yoshi and SE, he's even encouraged it himself.
did you even read the stuff OP tried accuse of the director lying about? Most of that list doesnt hold much ground for what is considered a lie

He is director and producer, I am not sure he does Development, I dont see "lead Developer" as part of what he does. he is listed as Producer for XVI. in terms of his job, while I am sure a bit more time may have been spent on XVI, I doubt it should have affected Development as a whole, since he's not in the trenches coding.
you want to call him out for being poor at predicting productivity of the team in XIV, be my guest. I mean he said that in 2020 I believe when he was made producer of XVI, the world has changed a bit since then. Is everything you said valid three years later? I know that I would be hard pressed to say "yes" if someone asked that of me, especially after all we have been through

I see what you're saying here but the problem is the things I said 3 years ago weren't claims to a community actively paying me for a product. I even gave him leeway in the OP that it could have been a poor prediction as people aren't infallible and I understand that. However, that being said? We are still deserving of something here in the way of acknowledgement as like I said, we are actively paying for a product and a false promise was made. Even just a simple "sorry, I messed up and will strive to do better" would be enough but the complete radio silence on the recent lack of quality leads me to believe this is just the status quo now and that's a really hard pill to swallow.

Prove he lied to us. Both XIV and XVI are in the CBU3 studio but they also have separate development teams. YoshiP acts as Producer for both games but that's an Executive level position, not a development position. While some XVI developers had worked on XIV HW, they were moved to XVI in Stormblood.
We do not know that they have been taking current XIV staff to work on XVI at the same time.
Also go back to comments that YoshiP had made during the digital FanFest and the EW media tour. We were told that post 6.0 was going to feel weird because it was going to be different from the post-MSQ patch series we've had since HW as they prep for changes coming in 7.0. As the player character, we'd be coming off the high of being the WoL that just saved Etheirys and picking the mantle of common adventurer for a while. The post MSQ content was intended to reflect that.
Break down the content releases for patches 5.0 to 5.35 and 6.0 to 6.35. There were things we got in Shadowbringers that we didn't get in Endwalker (mainly Bozja, Firmament and a separate story for the trial series instead of the trials being part of MSQ). There are things we got in Endwalker that we didn't get in Shadowbringers (new Deep dungeon, Variant/Criterion, Island Sanctuary, multiple level cap side quests)
What are the big differences that make you feel the player base has been cheated?
Don't confuse lack of things that you want to do as being lack of content to do in general.
