If you think that was an insult, then you are already well beyond the point where logic and reason line up. I understand you don't have a counter argument, and lack any means to provide any truth to what you claim, which better explains why you'd rather not converse with anyone who operates under a different mindset than your own and instead be dismissive because it is the far simpler course of action.

I also have a life outside of this game, and unlike yourself don't depend on the game's content to keep me from getting bored. That is where the advice I was giving you comes from.

The recent content has been pretty lacklustre. But I’d say that has less to do with XVI’s development and more to do with the fact they are revamping 3 expansions worth of old content to incorporate the trust system. Yet they still delivered 2 ultimates, island sanctuary, criterion dungeons and a new deep dungeon.

Sure they haven’t delivered any brand new long lasting content like eureka or bozja, but I find all the people saying the devs are being lazy or yoshi sucks to be really unjustified.

They're also working on the graphics upgrade. It feels odd that everyone blames XVI or wants to blame XVI. They have to go through the entire game to give us better lighting and shadows a better resolution for the older and non unique face models. That is a bunch of assets they need to look at and update. Then people try to use the we get less content when it's the same amount just some of it got repackaged as other things. Yet because it's not things some like or didn't come out in a way some wanted or expected it to that must mean it's bad somehow.

Yeah but does this game really need a graphic update? Because I feel that it should not be on the top of their priority list of things that need to be completed where there other systems in the game that either need a revamp or just need gutted and redesign for the modern day.

Yes and no? There are things that really need it like the shadows could be a bit smoother. The grass could also use a bit of Zhuzhing. When ARR came out it had to run on PS3 graphics capabilities. It's just the first thing they decided to do on their list of things to do to make the game hopefully last another decade. The ARR races are starting to show their age and a lot in the community have been asking for an upgrade for years. And if what they showed us during that live letter that gave us a sneak peek of where they are for the upgrade then I'll take it. I mean sure XIV isn't as bad as XI is but this game hasn't also been put out to the pasture so to speak.

I mean I would go a step further that the visual upgrade isn't just textures and lighting they are also expanded memory allocation to animation....they say for longer emotes but that can extend into the cutscenes for instance like its very much tools being expanded on to cater to what they like. 14 has good art direction and its textures for the most part carry the game but going that step beyond will keep it going for the next 10 years easily even with new unreal engine 5 MMOs on the horizon.
