Have to admit that I started building mine but lost interest fairly quickly - it just doesn't really suit my tastes, although am happy it's there for those who do enjoy what it offers.

As for the "hemorrhaging players" claim - I tend to take such claims from players with a pinch of salt. We don't have access to S.E's metrics and there is no way that a player can say that they know for a fact that their assumptions pertaining to the game "hemorrhaging players" is absolutely true and undisputable. And whilst I realise Steam offers some data in this respect, I'd argue that Steam also represents a very small demographic of the overall playerbase.

In fact, from an entirely personal viewpoint, I would go so far as to assume that the fact that there is a log in queue, of varying size, almost every time I log into the game might suggest (at the very least) consistently healthy player numbers.

Those queues are fake. Do the experiment at night and see how random the numbers are from one account to another.

I've had queues up to 26 at night on Sagittarius which is the lowest EU world right now, while bigger worlds like Ragnarok get no queue at all, this is also taken at night at like 4 AM. Yet if you go on Sagi's Limsa, the place is almost completely empty.

From one account to another...? What kind of sample size are we talking here?
