I can guess, not actually reading the whole thread that he only responds to the people that agree with him, and just takes indirect potshots at people who disagrees with him.
Literally just avoiding conversation on a thread he created. Lets his Friends/Defenders talk for him.

But I did read the front page, and, well I already know I cant take it seriously.

With how many people hate on him in every thread he makes for the sole reason of they don't like him (and I'm not just talking about people who simply disagree with him), I'm not surprised that he doesn't bother responding to them. I don't agree with Aveyond on every topic either, but c'mon. His haters are far more fanatical and persistent than his defenders/friends. Aveyond's threads are always so long because you have the same crowd of people jumping in and bringing up stuff like the burger nonsense for no reason other than to have a laugh at someone they don't like or to discredit what he's saying. If I had to deal with that in threads I make, I'd probably start ignoring people too.

And before anyone uses the excuse of "we're just disagreeing with him", I don't necessarily agree with him here either. Yoshi's busy doing FF16 right now. Whether he SHOULD be, or if the game is being handled well currently are different discussions, but I don't think that Yoshi not having done recent grindy content is necessarily important. However, a lot of what goes on in his threads goes past simple disagreement. I'm not saying that everyone here is here in bad faith, so no one get defensive, but neither is everyone here in good faith.

I pointed out that there was suspicious activity with the likes on anti-Aveyond posts in a previous thread about two weeks ago. No one, including you, believed me. I was told that it's just the forum agreeing with people who disagree with Aveyond. Now that there's been a claim about supposedly suspicious behavior that goes the other way around, it now has merit? Zanarkand, it's just the forum agreeing with them.

Anti-Aveyond post that gets 20 likes instantly? Forum agreement.
Pro-Aveyond (or at least not explicitly anti-Aveyond) post that gets 5-10? Bots/Alts.

The poster right under me also got 2 upvotes instantly

It's almost like when there's drama on the forum people keep up with the respective thread. Perhaps that in itself speaks for how engaging the game is at the moment.

I'm not lending any weight to the utterly bizarre conspiracy theories being peddled, though. I'll be honest - I expected better from some of the posters in this thread even if I don't necessarily agree with them.

Maybe it's time to seriously consider that you're being rather creepy, dehumanising and there's actual people behind every poster. Especially those of us who, y'know, have made it pretty damn obvious that we're separate people by posting consistently and separately over many years.

Agreed on all accounts. Personally I've mostly found Zanarkand to be a pretty decent poster, and while I certainly have expected others to scream "alt!!!" at people who disagree with them (it's happened before on the lore forums), I didn't quite expect Zanarkand to buy into that. To everyone who buys into this 'alt' thing, consider this. How can we be sure that you're not an alt if you've like some of the posts here disagreeing with Aveyond? Well, agreeing or disagreeing with someone doesn't change the fact that you're a unique human individual behind the keyboard, right? Exactly. So are we.

There is a good reason I never said it out loud. Because I have no proof of it, and it is a pretty ridiculous claim. Unlike Aveyond who likes to make claims that they cannot and will not even try to prove, but will act like its objective fact.

Not the defence force, more like same person with a bunch of accounts logging out and in to like their own comments and another one or two sad friends doing the same. It’s suspicious how some users only comment on his thread to boost it up and they immediately get a lot of likes even when there is barely any actual action on the forum .

Id say more, unfortunately it derrails the main topic, but hey if we ever meet in game in some way, Ill buy us some caramels and we can laugh it off for the one minute it is worth talking about.
