If you're referring to the post above yours, that actually is the one of the many known alts of the forum's most prolific troll. They established a pattern over the years to make them fairly easy to pick out.

As for hiveminds, they aren't creative by nature (wouldn't be a hivemind if unique thought was allowed). Troll is an easy insult to latch onto and use against those who disagree.

That doesn't mean some of those accused of being trolls aren't trolls whether the accuser is a hivemind or not.

Exactly. Hiveminds can't think for themselves. I've seen the worst of it on Twitter.

One time, I was on the receiving end of what happens when someone defends themself from being wrongfully accused by them. After what happened to me on there, I avoid FFXIV Twitter like the plague. They're violent, ridiculous, and have no qualms against slandering innocent people and mass reporting their victims --- who they'll label as "The Main Character of The Day" --- when it gives them that clout. They don't care about the truth.

I love FFXIV to death, but I have my own issues with it and I wish SE would make QoL changes to it along with fixing the bugs and broken quests. I'm a fan of the game, yes, but I'm not blind to its issues. FFXIV Twitter expects you to be okay with the issues and bugs and if you make it clear that you don't? You get accused of being racist, transphobic, homophobic, a bigot, etc. They don't care if you're part of the LGBT+, either. The moment you make your stance known in regards to these things, suddenly you're not LGBT+ anymore because how dare anyone want better for this game!

With all of that said, I'm serious when I say that these forums are a lot more tame than FFXIV Twitter is. Heck, FFXIV Reddit is tamer than it! Not once have I ever seen anyone on here attack others over our headcanons, ideas, gpose pics of our WOLs, artwork, etc. I've only seen constructive criticism and advice from you guys, which I'm always going to be grateful for. The trolls on here are nothing compared to the literal monsters that plague Twitter. I'll take the forum trolls over those inhumane wretches to be perfectly honest with you

I do check lodestone profiles sometimes, but it's normally to chuckle when someone is complaining about raiding or saying job design is fine, but lodestone shows they haven't done savage a day in their life.

Out of curiosity, how is it that you tell if a person has done savage or not? I'm not aware of any markers if a person has only done say, the first fight of a raid tier. They did do savage though.

Is there an achievement for only clearing O1S and nothing else for example? What if they have their logs blocked so they don't appear? That also isn't the Loadstone.

Mostly just the achievement for finishing the tier. If they have only cleared one first floor savage fight, well, that's not worth much.
