got a friend that is colour-blind. he can barely distinguish the yellow and the red, and he is a tank most of time. the bar percent on the 2.0 UI is a really good idea for thoses people that cant see the colour well (and add numerical percent would better better also).

Well yes it would require them to regrade the levels. If using the same overall hate threshold, cutting them up further could really do the opposite since you're making the sections smaller. Since this is a system that still doesn't display what they'd like to change this to in concept [2.0], a player could see this as "I'm in orange. That is before red and blinking red so I can probably put forward another WS." However, that wouldn't be very accurate since the sections are now smaller to accommodate the new color warnings. That orange would be like a now low red graduating into a blinking red.
Enmity doesn't work in grades, every time you preform an action you get an enmity number and they add together over the course of the fight, your number is compared against the rest of the party to give you a grade at which you appear on the colour scale.
All SE would need to do is provide more grades, so instead of 4 we get 5 or even 10 (2 for each colour).
Yes you are right that the sections then become smaller, but if you are at orange you should be thinking "I'll wait for it to go yellow before I use my next attack" (Stop thinking of them as sections and more as a percentage)
The reason the JP side asked for a graph is because the current system doesn't give you enough data in the first place.
Anyway I posted in the Interface sub-forum about this if you want to discuss it there.
http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...ure-UI-changes.
Here is a picture of a threat meter in WoW, I'm not suggesting we get a messy box with this information (although I'm sure one will appear when they allow addons)
But if you were to cut these bars up and apply them to the character like in the 2.0 UI you will understand what I mean perhaps.
@ NoctisUmbra The main reason I am asking for more colours is not to know where 50% is, its to know the difference between being able to cast Thundara in Yellow or not casting it when Orange.
Right now If its yellow it could be at the high end of yellow and could quite easily go straight from yellow to flashing red if not careful, sure you could argue this with wait til it goes green then, but if I combo I don't want to wait for the buff to fade.
I really don't see what the problem with asking for more information to maximise DPS whilst manage your own hate is.

If you're at Yellow, you are free to do pretty much any offensive spell. The jump from yellow to blinking red is a substantial one - not one that can be reached by casting a single Thundara and therefore not an excuse to merit extra colors.@ NoctisUmbra The main reason I am asking for more colours is not to know where 50% is, its to know the difference between being able to cast Thundara in Yellow or not casting it when Orange.

Like I said, the point of the colors is to communicate clear messages regarding your level of hate in comparison to the tank.
Now, if you're nuking and you're worried about going from yellow to blinking red in a single spell then it must be fairly early in the fight and the tank must not have built enough hate yet. It is % based after all, so early in the fight rising up 20-30% of the tank's hate from yellow to blinking red may not be difficult, but this is also precisely why the DD knows not to go all out and never pass yellow so early on.
I have no problem with more information to assist hate management. I welcome it, like everybody else. The enmity bars on the party list in 2.0 UI are a very good example of more information. My point, as well as Brucey's from what I can tell, is that adding another color into the mix doesn't necessarily mean more information. The message behind each color is diminished, and it becomes more convoluted.
Anyone who is following the general guidelines of being an effective DD, which is holding back in the beginning of a fight to let the tank build a solid lead in hate and then watching their own enmity bar carefully and using hate reduction techniques when they hit red, would have no need for any extra color.
This is BS sorry, I have gone from yellow to flashing red on several occasions (and no not at the start of the fight or after Animal Instinct for that matter), its all situational on how much enmity the tank has (or how good he is), as I said the colours are an example of where you fit on the enmity ladder not on how much enmity you actually have. (ie a number)
As I said I wanted to take this to the other thread as this isn't the thread to discuss it, you would also see the images I had made to explain myself better.
This is what I am referring to
Showing a number a gauge or percentage is much better than an ambiguous colour. (lets not forget those that are colour blind either)
Sorry to Rein as usual for taking the thread in the wrong direction :P

1) Forgive me, but I wasn't thinking and started discussing this. This is the translation thread. I did not mean to derail this and I suggest maybe you should create a new thread if you'd like to debate this.
2) Or maybe not because the system in concept seems to not use any colors at all and is a gauge bar. Like someone said previously, he has a friend who is color blind. In this player's case, having a bar like this will be very helpful.
3) Why would they completely redo the enmity thresholds to accommodate your color idea? This seems like a lot of hoop jumping for the color orange. Please, give this up.
Some players just let the power of voicing out your opinion that SE gave us go all the way to their fat heads.
Now if it was anywhere near a useful suggestion... I'd reconsider. But come on. You have a threat bar that scales up, what more could you want ? Do you really need it to be coloured five different shades too ?
Sheesh.
We have to go for the full rainbow.

Some severs are having issue where when you try to enter Instance Raid and gives you error saying it's crowded.
Producer/Director Yoshida here,
We apologize for the Instance Raids being crowded due to Instancing (making more instances).
We have been investigating over the weekend by checking the logs and found a bug when it processes the instancing even if no one has entered the instance it held space for 2-3 spots. We are investigating closely right now and will let you know once we have an update.
Some more from YoshiP regarding instancing since some people asked why not just increase the max instances available.
Producer/Director Yoshida here,
I apologize for the inconvenience the instance being too crowded.
Currently we are going to address the issue where instance battles related to the job quest in 1.21a and we are still investigating the bug where open instance slots are filled. To increase more instances would just create more confusion when some issue arises.
We are still looking into increasing the number of instances so after the instance bug fix and checking on how congested the instance will be after the server merge. We are planning to make the final decision by looking at the stability.
For each worlds server load the current version is much lighter then when the game was in it's 1.0 release. When comparing the world logs the server down and instance problems arising right now isn't something simple as server load but we are assuming it's where one of the new contents is destroying the server memory upon zone change.
We are working to get these resolved and it is our priority to make it more stable so would appreciate if you can please wait a little more
I apologize again for the inconvenience this is causing.
