PVP in the game won't even approach good even with a dedicated PVP team unless they also completely overhauled the netcode and server tickrate of the game.
There is a lot strong Limit break. So One shot mechanic is fine so long there is condition requirement. Like Nin require teamwork to reduce people to 50hp% to get 1 shot and sam require enemy´s hit with chiten. You can still counter sam and nin LB. Mch chained saw is not ok cause is base on rng and nothing can counter.- The amount of uncleansable limit breaks / abilities - such as WHM Polymorph, Dancer LB etc.
- One shot LB's that ignore Guard - Ninja and Samurai come to mind
- 1st CC of a kind is 100% duration
- 2nd CC of the same kind that hits you in a short period of time after the 1st is 50% duration
- 3rd CC of the same kind that hits you within a short period of time after the 2nd is 33% duration
After the 3rd CC of the same kind, you're immune to that kind of CC for a short period of time
So if you get binded, binded again and then binded again, you'll now be immune to bind effects for a few seconds.
By time you get 3 time same CC and start immune you are pretty much respawn at start point during how high damage is lol. The mostly problem with CC is cause delay server tick and purify/guard animation. I hope in 6.2 dev team find a way to fix it. Also hope in 7.0 they get better engine and net code lol.

I don't know, it feels like I am the only one, but the amount of CCs or the server tick rates don't bother me as much because it's stuff that affects everyone, so eventually you learn to accept it and try to work around it.
My issue with FFXIV PVP is mostly the players. Yes, the whole "git gud" argument. I feel like there is this mindset in FFXIV that you don't need to always do your best and perform at a high level. That's fine if you're doing leveling roulettes, but when in a competitive environment like PvP, you're damn right you should aim to improve and do your very best. The game also reinforces that mindset by not forcing people to improve (Frontlines XP on losses, winstreak bonuses in CC, no de-ranking).
I find frontlines extremely fun when they are community-events with 72 people who know what they are doing. Crystalline Conflict where everyone does decent damage and there are no extremely weak players are super fun as well. PVP could be fun if it paired people of similar skill together more accurately.

You serious? I didn't know I could cheat on Ps4 but I can understand I've seen alot of cheaters when this first dropped
they comeback ever now and again but not as often as back then

League ,Dota 2 back when there was a skeleton king, Lost Ark cause its the only MMO with a good male gunslinger, Smite, WoW back in the day don't bother with it since Legion, any nexus game though as for decent its up to your interpretation
But I dont think your entirely wrong here alot of players aren't seasoned and think this is the greatest thing ever but like most things in this game its needs alot of love

Good players at least pay attention to marked targets. Communication would be nice, but a good team can get by with quick chat perfectly fine. The problem isnthe rating system does a bad job of rating skill.
Ye, best PvP time was at lvl 50/60 time, with PvE skill but that was to difficult for a lot ppl. (to read skills description ...)
And now a 4 buttons gameplay for everyone.
You are covered by 20 cc's on you, can't runaway cuz purify is useless and don't give you 100% immunity, guard is 80% not useable or is blocked by stun/silence/... .
The SAM fuck's up with his 100% kill lb cuz you get instant kuzushi (no time to swap on a other target or stop the attack)
The 0 dmg ninjas steal your kill's.
The life reg outside the fight is rly low. You have always to use your pot...
You can't jump of your ride, if you have silence/bind...
Ranges: you try to hit a enemy and lose 50% of your life cuz of low def/low life/ and a lot aoes.
I played fast since saison 1, but I prefer to delete my account before I will play CrystallineC.
My mates running around like headless chicken, ignore commands and marks.
4 buttons gameplay, now everypne q pvp and get his lucky strike.
Oh God no, that was the worst time for pvp. The PvE combo restrictions absolutely did not translate well into pvp. Those were also the days of sleep spam, no thanks.
