Got some bad news as to how all guides determined rotations and weaving windows.
Exactly. I am thrilled we aren't on the same world or DC. We never will have to encounter one another. Be blessed.
"The worst foe lies within the self."
And should I care? Those things aren't becoming more or less relevant regardless of if we made Damage Tracker Obligatory or not. Besides isn't it a known fact that Ninja's rotation during ShB was determined by a guy who tested it out on dummy without using ACT or FFlogs? Or will you tell me that my Black Mage is a rocket science that nobody would figure out without ACT?
I've seen plenty of people claim that they know their rotation and class very well. Some lived up to it, others not so much. Why should a party take the word of a stranger as the holy truth? Your performance is their business, the degree depending on the content you're doing of course and to say that in team content your performance is your business alone is selfish.
But if you play as well as you say than you having nothing to fear anyway, correct?
But if the majority decides that whatever you do is not enough then they can remove you and that is fine as long as they're not being rude about it. Removing someone from their party for whatever reason is not the same as insulting after all.
You might have chosen the worst possible example because with BLM you can actually go to the level of optimization where ACT and things like manatick tracker are neccessary. You wouldn't even be able to discover such basic concept as caster tax without precise timestamps from logs. And should I care? Ah, but I can also look at you on the Lodestone and see that you don't have any Savage achievements.
Edit: Or any recent Extremes, for that matter. What's the point of being all up in arms about logging when you're not doing anything that's going to be logged in the first place?

Interesting. Weirdly enough no guide I found on BLM even mentioned those concepts. Not going too dismiss claims though since it is obvious to me that when it comes to FFXIV you are my senior. And I picked it because for whatever reason that's the job I chose to display on my profile and the one I enjoy quite a bit.You might have chosen the worst possible example because with BLM you can actually go to the level of optimization where ACT and things like manatick tracker are neccessary. I have seen this so many times as well. Generally the people who say they know their job very well but are adamantly anti-data truly think they do know their job well, when in fact they don't and just have never encountered anything in the game to prove them otherwise and would head in the sand if data was available to prove them otherwise. Bruised egos and all of that, many gamers have an ego that they are one of the best and anyone below them is a scrub and anyone above them is a no-life or a cheat.I've seen plenty of people claim that they know their rotation and class very well. It's the whole "I have never encountered anything in the game that has given me trouble, so I must be playing well" feedback loop as they blast through normal mode content, get carried through an EX and never enter Savage or above.
Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]
